Wait til Stamina for Enervating Field?
If anything, you can grab it early and use it in a conservative manner. I would wait until after Stamina for the fire AoEs though

I've got a young fire/rad corruptor. Planning to solo and team, no PvP. Should I wait until after I get Stamina before choosing the power Enervating Field? I don't want to run out of endurance and have Radiation Infection drop during combat.
Anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks for any help! |
I tend to take Stamina at lvl 20 Lingering rad at 22 and Enervating at lvl 24.
If you are running both enervating and RI you should have stamina..those two toggles are quite taxing on your endurance.
Take AM as soon as possible. I like to take it at 4 so I can slot it immedietly.
You can pretty easily get by without EF until after stamina. However, the same can't be said for EF without stamina. It will suck you dry - even using it sparingly. And it doesn't matter if the boss only has 1 HP left, if you are sucked dry of end, you're toast.
Believe me, from experience I can tell you that you won't miss EF before stamina, and once you take it after stamina it's so much sweeter!

Eh, when i soloed my Rad/Sonic defender (no team endo bonus to work with) I don't recall having an overly hard time running both toggles when i fough a boss or something. I didn't run them both on just common fodder mind you, it was a waste. Saving it for bosses and such, with a few blues to back you up, and you'll get out of your 20's fine i'd say. Assuming you don't get a ton of Fires AoE and go insane with them. You do that and it won't matter, your burn your endurance dry without ANY toggles.
Of course, at the same time, you don't NEED EF to kill them bosses... it just helps a bit. And you'll be into your 20's so fast... You could easilyget by without it.
So my advice is, if you plan to team more then solo, take it. If your going to solo them levels more then you team, don't. But either way, so long as you play smart and don't go hog wild with your aoe's, and remember it's not a crime to use inspreations (some people... think it's a mortal sin or something...) you'll be fine.

I've never waited for stamina for EF - it is a great toggle. Of course, I'm not afraid to turn it off if I'm running out of endurance but not health...

I do this too on my /Rad corruptors. There is such a crunch for the low level powers. I shoot for a 'Bloody Bay' build at level 25 that I have the essential powers. Good luck. I don't PvP but I do get Shivans.

edit: Don't forget you can get a team build at level 10 to go with a solo build. Alternate builds are great.
