Is Penny Preston aging?

For those of you who don't know, Penny Preston is the level 30-40 Mutant Store in Founders Falls. Every time I get a hero side toon to 30, I do all the store missions. I've done them so many times that I don't normally click on the "Ask About This Contact" link.

This time, I did.

It describes Penny Preston as being a teenager.

Thing is, she still looks like a kid, and I'd swear that her biography used to say that she was an 11 year old child.

So does anyone know if Penny Preston is aging or not or is prolonged youth one of her gifts?

Quoting Paragonwiki, "Penny wants to be like a normal teenager"

And glancing at the page history, it doesn't look like her description has been updated recently, either.

It's probably easier if the Devs of this game treat it sort of like the Simpsons cartoon in that even though it's been around for many years the kids have never "grown up". It might not be very realistic, but it saves the Devs a bunch of time trying to rework for that kind of thing.

I've actually considered this age issue for some of my own characters. Back when this game first started 5+ years ago I created several teenager heroes which I still play from time to time. I have lately wondered if I ought to update their bios and even their appearances to account that, for example, one has technically aged from 16 years old to perhaps almost 22.

I guess these are the kinds of things to consider when a MMO has been around this long.

On another (possibly unrelated note, the tutorial mentions that the Rikti War happened LAST YEAR! Can we have an update?

Technically, each PC is 'the' superhero among a hojillion superheroes in Paragon City that is Saving the World (uh, repeatedly) and Ridding Alternate Realities of Evil Doers (uh, repeatedly) and etc. Your character is the main character in that character's time line, and every character experiences the same time line, separately and at the same time, at once. Handwave away the parts that don't make sense, repeatable content is required in MMOs.

(reword for Destined One status and each and every PC villain being 'The One')

Personally, I'm pretty happy with a static timeline which advances only as you level up. Take Jim Temblor, for instance. If we looked at the city like a real world, then it would be contradictory to have him both sitting in Faultline trying to get someone to save Fiusionette, and acting as a member of Vanguard in the War Zone. But that's the thing - the city isn't subject to normal time. It's subject to level time. When you're level 1, it's still 2004, just after the Rikti War and things are still hectic. When you're 15-25, it's around 2006, when Faultline is still rebuilding and Temblor is still looking for his father. When you're 40-50, it's 2009 and Temblor has come to accept his powers, hooked up with Anette permanently and has become a respected member of the Vanguard.

Personally, I enjoy that greatly. It gives me the illusion of an evolving world in a static setting.

ALso, comic book characters don't age normally, do they? I haven't read a Spidey comic for about 20 years, but he'd been a teenager for well over a decade when i started reading him, and he was in his ealry twenties at the latest when i stopped, I'm pretty sure.

Anyone still keep up? How old is Spidey now?

Eco.

He had worked his way up to being a school teacher at his old high-school, so probably mid-thirties (maybe, guessing). Then One More Day happened, which was one of the biggest retcons ever, and after that most people stopped caring.

How old is Franklin Richards?

Answer that and this whole issue becomes moot.
