An Idea that probably sucks.

So going on the assumption that it's either "Been done before", "It's a suck idea", or "You suck, Fourth" I'm going to warn those who like to say those three phrases to begin typing and ignore the rest. It's make my self esteem so much better.

Now I'm sure this was originally what RP Virtue was for, but I never really understood what it was for other than saying stuff about Von Dread, and telling everybody "Dude! I'm at the D and I'm causing a big scene."
I may be biased simply because I logged on once with this channel up and those topics came up nearly instantaneously and I haven't looked back, save in horror.

Anyway onto my idea. I like to make characters that have connections to other characters, and other than post on the board here "Hot Sexy Hero lf Seductive Villainess to Dominate" and whatever, I thought what if we had a Channel where you could create IC connections for your toons?
(I'm kidding about the Hot sexy thing, I mean this in a serious way...)
Like if you need important characters for your backstory, or just want an arch-villain and you are like me and suck at making friends who don't want to take over the world, and use you as a lackey.(looking at you, The New Black).
Or if you want to make a duo and need a second, or if you just wanna see if people wanna cross over their stories into yours and have some fun.
Like I said, RP virtue may be about this, but I'm rather afraid to go onto that channel.... DON'T JUDGE ME!

Like I said, I'm prone to ideas that suck or have already been done, so please only one 'Fourth look here --->' per person. Also if you do that you forfeit your 'Fourth, you suck' as well.

I think this is a great idea...sort of a "role call" channel, where you can answer casting calls for NPCs and background chracters.

I hope it works, sounds like a good idea to me.

I expected right off the bat to get a Fourth sucks comment, but hey, someone likes it. I took the liberty of already creating a channel 'VirtueRP Connect'

I like this idea, though a (sticky?) thread and channel in tandem would increase the likelihood of people finding one another.

Most nights, they can't even take over the dinner table. The squabbling over which vegetables to serve alone, can require a two hour meeting.

"Lousy pheasants, how dare you!"

...and stuff like that...so phesants must be lousy vegetables.

As you might have guessed by the post title I had no hopes for it.
Also, I took over dinner when you weren't looking. We're having fried beets.

I really like this idea. I've been having problems lately getting into the RP element and Pocket D is akin to jumping into the deep end of the shark infested swimming pool with a lead weight strapped to your leg and a necklace laden with porkchops. So a channel where i can meet and set up a good RP foundation for my characters story and interact will be awesome. Lemme know how to get an invite to the channel and I'd love to join up.

I honestly LOVE this idea. I find it excruciatingly hard as it is to find people to to role play with let alone people to intertwine my story with.

I'll join the channel tonight, I am happy to be lackey, pawn, innocent bystander, or just crowd-filler, for any RP needs. My only thing is, I prefer PG-13 over R. So keep that in mind when you call for assistance. I am not a prude, I just like the campier side of the super-hero thing.

Damn, and here I was gunna ask if you wanted to get naked and run around Paragon shouting obscenities and calling Statesman bad names for staring.

What I want to do here, is to get a place where people can weave their stories together, request PCs for a specific character's past, get help with character ideas, ect. I'd like to say that kissy face stuff and the like will be kept out of the fray, but we all know how that's gunna end up.. the CORRUPTION!

Due to the Society VG meeting (the aforementioned dinner planning thing =-p) I didn't catch most of what said on the channel after 10:50PM, EST. I had every intention of going back over the log after our meeting, but Virtue asploded on me. >.<

So! I caught that Corpse Weaver/Lady Malevolent is out there somewhere, Fourth likes playing... quirky... characters, and there seem to be a lot of you hero types who are lacking in proper villains. Sounds interesting so far.
