Seeing as how most stuff just doesn't sell villside, or takes ages to (where my favorite farming toon is) I basically only do it now for the fun and not at all for the reward.
If, by nature, you consider yourself a farmer, you are now part of the minority.

Congratulations.

Prices have doubled, and that's still significantly lower then previously.

They still aren't as high as they were. Sadly.

True, alas. I cashed in a lot of my purps at near peak prices, but I still have one (Arm. triple, I think) that I posted at around 190M that hasn't moved in a few weeks.

The basis of the argument was that AE was fun because of the farming capabilities and options, and i16 destroyed that. AE is no longer fun. The options are no longer there. Even though the arcs never produced a single purple, people are more miserable than before.

Nothing has changed except the rewards.

If you were farming for fun, since you're a baller, keep doing it. The same enemies are there. The same lack of challenge is present to your pre-launch purple'd toons. But, you're not. It isn't fun because you aren't earning millions of influence per kill [that you don't need].

Farmers, by vast majority, weren't spoiled by the greater entertainment factor. They were spoiled by the greater riches. And, this is why it is an occasional activity. It isn't the primary farmer's market it once was because the rewards aren't there.

And, they weren't taking seven bodies along because they needed them on the map. They took seven bodies along because they needed them for the map. If you got to stay, your Farmer Brown was nice enough to not rename you Toby and kick you.

Those who paid for farms weren't farmers. Those were leeches.

Don't confuse a parasite for a host.

All I'll say is the options for farming in AE are still there. And leave it at that.

You're right about the second part. I do consider those leeches.

EDIT: Overall, I agree that AE is fairly useless now.

I wanted to add this where that nice little option of I want to fight bosses when solo on a team set to 8 comes in nicely. But again this is going to be where you have to make a few choices. Is it better to fight more bosses that take longer to kill but have a higher chance to drop purples and a chance at a pool c or d recipe or to kill only luitenents/minions that you can go thru faster that will give you more drop opportunities in a shorter amount of time just for purples. Personally I been waiting to see if someone has done the math on this to see which method is going to be better for a standard non-AE farm.

Do bosses really have a higher change to drop purples? I've never heard that before.

Who do I have to *&^% around here to get more Targeted AoE recipes added?

Arc Name: Tsoo In Love
Arc ID: 413575

Bosses have a higher chance to drop recipes than LTs, and LTs have a higher chance to drop than minions.

The odds that what they drop is a purple isn't any better or worse as far as we know, but increased odds of them dropping period potentially helps.

Details can be found here. That page is not the source of this data. The information on that page came from the devs during I9 beta.

Now, for that increased drop rate to be really helpful, you have to be as good or better at taking out a boss than you are at taking out 3 minions (or 1.5 LTs), which probably isn't true for most characters and most bosses.

While we don't know for certain, there's a lot of circumstantial evidence that they are, indeed, in pool A. Some background can be found in this post.
