What did you sell....
I did a little buy-and-sell farm with another badge hunter using the Alien Tech base salvage - but as that's no longer in the game, I'm not sure what people are using now.
If you get someone to farm with you, you can use just about any low-demand stuff to sell back and forth between yourselves for a higher than normal price.

What I did:
Stacked about 6 piles of 10 for sale, then put up 6 piles of 10 bids to buy them.
Switched to my other screen and picked up the 6 stacks that were bought, then put them right back up for sale, then put up 6 more stacks of bids.
Switched back to the first toon and... well you get the idea. lol
Crafted IOs. I was patient and got field crafter before it was reduced and most those those IOs needed a home that wasn't me.

Inspiration dumps any time I hit the market.
While working on the crafting badges: common IOs.
Also did the old base salvage route when that was available
If I were starting on them now... I'd probably run up a pile of tix in AE, trade that in for common salvage and then go dump stacks at 'sell now' prices.

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
I seem to recall we had a level 10 intangability recipie farm going the first few weeks of that issue.

I just sold off everything that dropped and I didn't want for 1 inf--common and rare salvage and common and crappy recipes.
In fact, I still do.
It did go a lot faster when we earned base salvage as well, but it's still not that difficult to earn over a few months. As other people have mentioned, you can always buy up stacks of invention salvage cheaply and then turn around and put it all back on the market at a loss.

Not for nothing, but why would you trade a single item, when you could be making much faster progress with items that stack in piles of 10? lol

Recipies can be sold in lots of 10. Although, I don't think I've bought/sold in a grouping higher than 2 since the farm...

I guess I rarely ever have more than 1 of the same one either.

In that case, how did you guys dream up the idea using those? Were so many of them really so available?
You can buy them from a university table. They were specifically chosen because there was no practical use for them, so once they were bought, we would just trade them amongst ourselves, because no one out side the group was looking to buy any.

I think they were picked due to the fact that no one else wanted them.

I used to flip a piece of base salvage, think it was Aberrant Tech or somesuch. I'd buy 10 sell 10 over and over and over. That got me a few badges.
Mostly though, I just emptied my salvage into Went's after each play session and they sales came quite quickly. 80 salvage + 20 recipes per session adds up.

I burned through the last 4000 sales for Power Seller just a few weeks ago, while looking for arena matches to earn some of the lower weight class badges. I'd go to WWs, buy full stacks of junk common salvage that was clogging the market (hydraulic pistons, fortunes, computer viruses, etc.) for around 300 inf, then relist the stacks for 5 inf to sell asap. I'd buy and relist until I had 4 or 5 stacks of each salvage type up for sale, then go off and do something else for an hour. They'd all have sold by then, so rinse and repeat. I got 4000 sales in under 5 days of low playtime this way. I nominally bought and sold at a loss to save time, but I still made a small profit on the deal.
Of course, if you could find a sympathetic badgehound or two and trade stacks of junk recipes back and forth, it'd be far simpler.
Rule number six of an empathy defender is NEVER underestimate a blaster's ability to die. I don't care if he has CM, Fort, both RAs, bubbles (both FF and Sonic), and is fighting next to a Storm defender with hurricane on. If there is a way to die in that situation, the blaster will find it.
Also a quick way is to play AE missions and use the tickets on Common Salvage. Place it on the market below price and they sell quickly.
