My view has been altered a bit since I got a second account on the US side. Things over there are as bad (or good if you are an optimist
) as they are here. Hence acknowledging the imo need to merge servers.The best part of the EU servers is that us Europeans game at the same time, meaning that I can expect company at peak hours. It would be a shame of us EU players wander of to other servers in the hope of finding more players. I fear a serverlist merge would only weaken our servers and it is because of that that I like to see a serverlist merge and actual server merges.
That said, I would like to see the lists merged as well. Even if no server merges would follow.

I was part of a Union Hami raid a few months back. I don't like to talk about it. When you're waiting what seems like an hour to organise the teams, let alone planning any actual tactics it doesn't bode well.
Think there's been a few attempts before then, I haven't seen any since, but don't think there has been a succesfull one yet.

Trust me, you're not missing anything. The old ones were fun to do even if at some times you couldn't move for lag and the server actually crashed from having to deal with lots of people. I did those until I was blue in the face.
The new ones however... who the heck wants to spend hours collecting EOE to then go into a zone that's limited to 50 people who don't know how to follow tactics or care about them to actually make it work? And spend at least 3 hours (I think? Can't remember how much it took when I was in the 1st on Defiant, but we were all pretty bored by the end) for a reward that's at best meh?
As for the merger, as always, I'm not opposed to the list merge (which is not the same as being for it too) but I'm definitely against server merge.

Ok, ok, it seems obvious that missing Hamidon is no great loss. Good, then I do not have to worry about that one. I am much relieved.
Never done a Hami raid in all four years I've been here and I acknowledge now that it's unlikely that I ever will. I may manage a Mother Ship raid perhaps, I don't know.
The servers are definitely quieter than they were when I joined but that's only natural. However, it's interesting to note that it appears to be as bad in the US which helps to dispel the illusion of it being the 'promised land'.
Personally, I'm for any of the above. I feel that despite access to US debates, the forum merge has made us EU players even more invisible than before. Merge the server list and get it over with. Keep the EU servers listed as (EU) so we know we have a common time zone but let's at least put them all together.

And I miss Sals. They just don't have a good Sals Badgehunter channel there. Did you know that a channel only can have 2500 people? Even if 2400 of those people never relog again?

Well, somehow I got that urge again... that itchy feeling that it would somehow be fun to play a bit again, maybe do a ITF or just a few random missions with the mayhem that follows an 8 man team...
...but I just couldn't get a team!
Well, I might join the regular(?) Mothership raid this evening just for a kick, but for now it seems it doesn't matter that I actually WANT to play again (and yes, I want to play my stones, so soloing isn't too much fun).
..and btw, don't buy LEGO Rock Band. Soloing with a granite/poohboots is actually funnier.
...however I saw an ace tribute 'review' of the GTA series highlighting all the movie spoofs and all sorts of fun stuff they've put into the series, so I might have to give GTA4 another run. I remember I loved San Andreas on the PC, so... I never actually played GTA4 due to lack of time (due to the amount of time I spent on a certain near-d.e.d. MMO)

I've tried GTA4. I really have. Compared to San Andreas and especially Vice City, it's just shiny pants. I don't have a problem with them per se, but if there's nothing in them that I want to get deeply involved in, I get really bored after the first couple of minutes.

As a matter of fact I play on a daily basis. But nowadays more on the NA side then on the EU side to be honest. You was lucky to spot me on GS. Who was just playing the market and changing Day Job locations.

Server list merging is a big thumbs up from me.
But to be honest the game, for me, seems to be ticking along nicely at the minute. I mean, it's now December so nothing major usually happens. I'm not too fussed about Xmas events anymore.
I would like some more GR love though. Anyone know what sort of work has to go into CG promos? I'd be happy with another teaser CG thingamabob. But then I'm easily distracted (and pleased) by shiny things.
Oh and on a sly last note - I am very glad CO doesn't seem to be doing so well re: player opinions I've heard IG and on the forums. Yes, I still love this game.

This would assure that us Europeans stay a bit clustered so we can play during those hours that the US citizens sleep and work.
It would upset quite a lot of people, it would also give the wrong signal, but at least it would give every newly formed server enough people to party with. To do fun things like big Raids like Hamidon. Any one here done Hamidon? 5 years of gaming and no Hamidon for me.
Of course, it is not up to me and things will stay as they are until GR launches. GR is the new big hope of salvation. I expect that it will bring some relief but it wont save this game for a long time.
