For those unfamiliar with the group, Isolators was started shortly after badges were introduced to the game. This was in the dark, dreary times before global chat, global tells, or even coalition chat. Back then, the only way to find a person from the forums was by chance or pre-arranged meeting.

The Isolators project was started so the people who post here in Victory could actually meet and play together, so that you could have some fun with the people you chat with online. Everyone made a new character for this new group. This is an once a week supergroup that plays every 8 pm Wednesdays.

When the vast majority of the group hits 50, we start a new run of the group, switching between CoH and CoV between runs.

You don't have to be an active forum poster to join, through it's encouraged. At the very least, be a member of the community; run missions, join in advertised task forces, etc.

If you're interested in joining up this run, please feel free to post interest here. Everyone is welcome.

A few notes:
Everyone is not welcome.
This is an once a week sg. If the group ends up at level 20 at the end of the night, please don't show up next week at level 25.
If you're a few levels behind due to playing less, don't sweat it, but try to catch up on your own or with a task force if you can.
We play 8 pm eastern on Wednesdays.

I used to love how much work dishwashers saved, but then I've had a string of them that try to wreck our glasses, making me hand wash more things than just pots and pans. Ugh.

But I digress. I'll be there tonight... hopefully won't have any hunt missions occur during a zombie raid, heh.

Looks like there was a patch today, so be ready and patch early!

Not sure why they had to increase the frequency of events. It started out slow, but now it seems like there is an invasion or banner event going on all the time. At any rate, these fixes will be welcome for teams and Isos:

  • Team Interface: Fixed a display issue where players on the same team would not be able to view other team memberÂ’s names if they were located in different zones.
  • Team Interface: Fixed a display issue where a playerÂ’s name was listed twice in the Team window when another teammate in another zone was promoted to Team Leader.
  • Navigation Window: Fixed an issue where Contact and Mission waypoints did not function correctly if teammates were located in different zones.

Man, kind of missing Tankers on this Isos run... our poor WP scrapper wasn't able to handle all our Red Caps tonight, even with the buffs we gave him. Sorry, MG: I made sure to keep my shields up on you, but even when they were on it seemed like your health plummeted fast.

My team had a slow time of it... I think I made 32 after playing for 1:45, and that was with 7 bars of patrol xp, too. Made it through most of the last two Croatoa arcs, though... think there are 3 missions left from Buck Salinger.

I feel really bad, too. My wife is sick and I had to ditch in the middle of my last mission due to RL health issues. Sorry again, guys. I hope it went okay after you left the mission. I didn't know whether to log out or not and didn't have time to write again, so I hope it got worked out.

Really? We have what, 2, 3 sonics, 3 traps, 1 cold, 1 FF defenders? I usually run at like 90% def or something ridiculous for a tank, I thought the squishies were at least softcap-faring. Was kinda wishing I'd rolled something squishier, or at least more damage. /ice on a tank really forces me to focus on aggro control though.

Team Hamster ran random 30-35 missions, working on phone call level and arcs. Went from 31-33. Most of the evening was my controller, three defenders, and a scrapper/blaster or two.

Next week, will likely do a round of safeguards for the exploration then go back into story arcs.

Target level appears to be 33.

Aw, no need to apologize, GP. I'm not very well slotted out, so even with everyone buffing me my resists were around 44%, and with no self heal that's a recipe for disaster taking the alphas. In terms of my survivability it was Danaan->Caps->Cabal. Those witches tore me to piece with energy damage and end drain...

I need to do some cheating to catch up with you guys.

I think he's referring to the shields. If so I must also ask the question, We have sonics?

Hmmm, I thought he was joking, and I was joking back.

Anyway, if you've ever been on my team, you have had Sonic shields on you. I tend to focus on the melee types, but apply them as much as I can to everyone. Not that it helps Ham much when he's "ambushed."

Think I have had em once in 3 hours from any sonic on the team and that was just for one night. It's blatantly obvious there are "no sonics" when you have your defense and resist numbers up and see nothing but goose eggs for resistance values. I came to the conclusion that most of the sonic players didn't focus on the sonic defense set and instead focused on their primary/secondary or travel pools...

My Iso's 5 ill/ff controller doesn't have the two buff shields.

I'll defend GP's honor here. He certainly kept me buffed this week (and the Cold Corr as well)... my 44% resists were including the shields.

I really wish my aura shield was bigger... it's quite hard to fit everyone into it. And it's usually not in my favor to get too close to the melee types and get plastered by AOEs, either... I think I'm up to 16% ranged defense and 20% resist from my aura, but that doesn't stop too much.

I think we have more Sonic attack types than we have sonic buffers, so sometimes you may hear it a lot but not getting a buff. It doesn't help that my team always seems to be defender heavy, too... 3-4 Defenders on one team tends to make the other teams ummm, buff light? Heh.

I don't really pay attention to what attack types people are putting out. KB doesn't even phase me. Them thar shields is kinda fancy and helpful though if anyone happens to have them. Seems the FF I've teamed with has his shields.
