I can imagine what some of those "several things" might be but it is definitely a beautiful piece.
Well I've always been a big picture guy more than a details guy so *shrug* I love it
As far as nitpicks, I wouldn't be shocked if there are some to be made but in fairness to the artist he may have felt pressured a bit to finish it... The piece had been hanging for a long time and then when I finally asked for an update it was done like a day or two later... I suspect he may have thought I was more impatient than I was when I really just wanted to make sure the piece hadn't been forgotten.
I tend to be way more nit picky on my own art sometimes I see something a bit to late after I gifted it to someone and just sit there like ugh.. I wish I could have fixed that sooner.
But for the art gifts and commissions I get I just appreciate and love them all. I think of it like this each piece of art with or without mistakes is a learning/growing experience for the artist and I was just glad to be a part of it. ^_^

Yeah I'm also far tougher on my own art than on other people's stuff (I think most artists are) but I also ask for
constructive criticism and outside opinions all the time too because I recognize I'm biased when looking at something I created.
As for the picking of nits, anyone who's ever traveled with me could tell you I'm just as likely to spot
otherwise overlooked beauty, subtlety or nuance as I am to pick out errors, flaws or things amiss... it's just that
when it comes to art my focus is very much on improvement (both my own and in helping others improve as well)
thus I'm constantly looking for what's wrong so I can try to improve it or at least not make similar mistakes going forward.
By no means am I pointing out everything I see and I certainly don't do it to be mean-spirited or
detract from others enjoyment I just tend to notice stuff and so I point it out (or at least mention it exists
) where I think it can be of some use. Caemgen I'm pretty sure gets where I am coming from on this and is okay with my being outspoken
in his thread but there are other threads where I don't say anything because I don't think it will do any good or be well received. *shrug*
By the by, seems he worked on a few things and made a few adjustments. I haven't compared and contrasted yet though so I am not sure what...

I in no way thought of you as trying to be mean spirited. You're actually very detailed in your criticism letting them know what you think they need to fix in order to improve for the next time which is very helpful. I know I don't mind it so critique away lol. *big hugs*

Another beautiful Fenian painting, this time by MyAmbeon from DeviantArt...
MyAmbeon is an artist I've been waiting and waiting to see open up for commissions and when she finally did I just had to jump on it! Sometimes the fact that you've spent too much lately just doesn't matter.
To really get the full effect you need to see this full sized... MyAmbeon didn't upload the full sized version to her page so you'll have to check out mine once I upload it :P But any faves or such should really go to her.

Yeah, I was actually expecting a more surrealistic feal to this, silly me kind of assumed that would just be kind of the default... But I am not complaining at all - I love how this turned out!
Very nice. That's extremely beautiful. I'll have to hope I can catch her when she's available and I have extra money laying around.

Turnaround/Model Sheets done by EuROPA777. I am having him do one for each of my hearoes as well as a couple for villains I concocted to go up against them in future arts Must say, I think he's completely rocking these and he's been fabulous to work with in regards to changes and alterations... I think I have him tied up for a while but anyone needing or wanting model sheets should definitely give him a look!
Full sized versions can be seen on my DA page in the Hero or Villain Reference folder, as applicable.
First up, Fenian.
We made some subtle adjustments to the in game costume, namely shorter skirt and less leather/more lace on the top. The rough of this is what MyAmbeon used as reference for her painting so I think this is already showing great results!
Next is Fenian Wolf. No changes made from the in game costume on this one...
Now we have Cold Flake, a villain I am slowly levelling and who I expect to show up often in future arts. I wanted her in game costume to look more like it was formed by a thin layer of ice rather than actual clothes or anything... Also wanted her to have ice formed skates on her feet as, in my mind at least, her super speed is really her skating across two thin lines of ice she creates as she moves...
And finally, we have Malfearance. Malfearance doesn't actually exist in game, nor could he... No costume pieces fit for his look and no power sets for him. In my mind and own personal little story lines he is the ultimate bad guy, the Big Bad, the power behind everything. He would never work in RP as he is the ultimate godmodded character... His power is basically infinite though the chains upon him do sap him down to a level where he cannot just destroy the universe with a wave of his hand... Though that is his ultimate goal. Still, he would be lurking behind every great evil... Whispering in the ear of the likes of Nemesis and Recluse and goading them on, subtly influencing them to bring about Malfearance's own goals...
Anyway, he's a character I have had in my head for years and I finally, finally got him rcreated in art!
And yes VexXxa - I will eventually get these colorized!
And lastly, a piece of art by Thali-n of Fenian and Fenian Wolf sharing their first kiss... I'm not sure of the morality of having Fenian fall in love with her clone but *shrug*
Thali-n did take a little liberty in making Fenian Wolf's helmet transparent so you could see her face but I think it works perfectly for this piece of art
love doesn't know morality
In regards to falling in love with a clone, deeper understanding and peace being together I'd imagine.
