What happened to following down elevators?
I recall, at some point waaay back, the change was announced that mobs would now follow you down elevators. Therefore, the quick save by ducking downstairs would not happen anymore. I thought it went through, but clearly now that function isn't there. Anyone have more on this?

Basically summoned pets and ambushes will follow. I haven't seen anything in the patch notes about this being changed.
It's not a bug, it's a feature!!

Summoned pets and Ambushes will follow you up/down, and they have done so as long as I can recall. (Zone ambushes can sometimes even follow you into stores if they are not guarded by drones, but that's only happened to me once. lol)
Thanks. I thought it was all enemies, not ambushes. I guess I've been lucky to not even experience having ambushes follow me in recent memory.
I will never forget the first time I experienced this. I was on my Blaster, and has just defeated a Council Vampyr boss when he suddenly transformed into a Warwolf. This was enough of a shock to me, and I had already been fading fast during the battle with the Vampyr. High-tailed it down the elevator and thought I was safe...until the Warwolf followed me down.
I can't even remember the last time I experienced this after that, probably because I vator-retreat so infrequently, and because the first event was so indelibly burned into my brain.

We will honor the past, and fight to the last, it will be a good way to die...
I remember an endless box of spawned Clockwork Gears following me down several floors.

Father Xmas, do you recall which arc has the endless Gears box? Way back when (thinking I1 here) I remember joining a pug on my controller, that said they were having trouble with a mission (no other info provided). After hiking all the way out to Boomtown, when I went up the elevator I was met with the horrifying yet hilarious scene of literally over 100 puny little gears matching around atop a pile of my teammates' broken bodies, who failed to kill the box before all heck broke loose. That mission still strikes me as one of the most unique things I came across as a noob, yet can't figure out who gives it out.
Rule number six of an empathy defender is NEVER underestimate a blaster's ability to die. I don't care if he has CM, Fort, both RAs, bubbles (both FF and Sonic), and is fighting next to a Storm defender with hurricane on. If there is a way to die in that situation, the blaster will find it.
Now if my zombies would quit playing musical elevators. I'll hop in one, on occasion, they follow, then I'll watch one of them run across the hall and jump into another elevator.
When I zone they also like to become NPC's. -.-
And Colleen Saramargo, Jake Montoya, Maggie Greene, and Wyatt Anderson will give you the mission with the 'box of parts' called "Get a sample of the Clockwork piston."
Thanks. I thought it was all enemies, not ambushes. I guess I've been lucky to not even experience having ambushes follow me in recent memory.

Looking over the list of clockwork missions at Red Tomax, eliminating the hunt missions, the mayhem and TFs it may be one of the following.

I'm guessing the last one but like I said it's been quite some time. Spend my Level 15-20 days in Faultline now.

It was a long time ago since the last time I did that mission. All I can remember was it's in the Level 10-19 range, I remember doing mine often in Skyway.

Also, it's not really endless. Just like the Arbiter Sands ambushes on STF (which many people think are endless), it's more in the lines of about 10 waves or so. I distinctly remember trying to farm it for the gearsmasher badge and still coming up a few short by the time they stopped coming out of the junk pile.

Hello?

Is this thing working?
