Going Rogue and Supergroups...

Well, try to keep in mind that Hero Con is just over a week away, and there have been pretty broad hints of "major" announcements forthcoming there. So I think it's very understandable on the devs' part that they're playing it a bit close to the vest until they can make a big splash at Hero Con with all the new shiny announcements.

(And don't worry, those of us attending will CERTAINLY share every little tidbit of information the second it's released, rest assured. )

when u go rogue then go bk to isles or paragon joining a sg or vg again is a must ofc.

i just dont like the idea of quitting and joing and qutting and rejoing just to travel thru different lands.

agreed. it would definately be a hastle if you had to quit and rejoin SGs every time you switched. The devs would be pressuring us to choose a side and to stick with it if you lost your SG position and prestige earned every time you jumped from red to blue side and vice versa.

Call me crazy, but I am hoping for alot with GR, and the lack of information has kind of let my mind run wild with possibilities and what I think would work out best. Just have to wait for those going to HeroCon to spread the wealth of information after it gets out

What happens when a hero or villain(namely the villans in this case, as they litterally don't have their epic powerset handed to them, they have to do missions to get them, and the powers are directly from one of their villain patrons) goes to the other side without having reached the point of 41 to get their epics? Will villains get new hero epics instead, or will they automatically get access to the villain epics when they hit 41? How will this affect normal gameplay or PvP if there's suddenly a stalker with hero epics or a tanker with mako epics(or something that might be considered unbalancing)?

To my mind, the best solution is "dual citizenship" with SGs. You can have a membership in a Hero SG and a Villain SG, and whichever side you're on at the moment determines which you're active in and who you earn prestige for. With a system like that you wouldn't have to worry over losing your previous association when you switched sides back and forth, and would have an association on each side without a ton of problems. It would also jive with what was said about Super-Leaders not being able to side-switch since they cannot control an SG they have no access to and, under such a system, would still be sitting in the Super-Leader positon.

At least, I hope the Devs are thinking in a similar direction.

Just now all APPs are AT-specific - a blaster doesn't get the same ancilliary powers as a tank and a Brute's powers from Mako are different to a stalkers powers from Mako.

No reason why this would change - so there's no reason we'd see a villainous tanker with any of the existing Mako powers exactly as they are, though they could have the Mako tanker powers. The devs have quite a few APPs to design/balance...

I'd been expecting a change to APPs sometime anyway, allowing all normal (non-Epic) ATs access to some form of equivalent to the patron sets and to non-patron sets. No real reason to expect that other than I'd imagine it'd help achieve some form of parity between the ATs ready for any rogue/AT-proliferation system.

I also consider removing the lock-in to a single patron on villains as a move towards this (watering down the villain APP ingame story allows other non-story driven powersets to be introduced).

Heroes could pickup Praetorian Patrons..

Possibly - But I'd think it unlikely if the new Praetoria is only accessed if you purchase the GR expansion. I'd have thought that any changes to APPs would probably apply to all accounts.

It could just as easily be the our world's signature heroes - maybe spurred on by the new threat from Praetoria they've decided that heroes need more hands-on training to develop skills akin to their own.

Or whatever... making up a rationale for heroic patron pools wouldn't be impossible - but I don't think it'd be in any area/content that's only available to a subset of accounts (i.e. those who bought GR).

OK. You take your Blaster, go rogue. You now have a villain blaster.

You aggro something horribly. You go squish.
- Do you get to go to your base, since it's in Paragon?
- What happens with the teleporters?
- If they don't remove the "Opposing sides can't trade" limitation (which, honestly, is irritating in coop missions,) what happens to everything you put in the (heroic) bins? Can you get inspirations?
