The Journey of a New Warshade
Interesting. So, it's during a respec where you can do this. I never knew that. Thank you so much for the info!
Main Character: Ice/Storm/Ice Controller (Justice, 1340 badges)
Even though it's slow exp, I love running around hazard zones in nova out of reach with my two pets, then using stygian to heal the damage I finally did take from that minion that climbed up the tree and restore all my endurance for another round.
The pets are huge aoe.
I even think the PB pets are underrated. They're like a small radius second nuke. Huge damage when you count all three.
Warshade is so kickass. It's like a machine. It plays very much like a affliction warlock in WoW...
For those that don't WoW, it means there's no downtime... ever....
... PLUS high damage.
For the life of me I cannot find a PB Set build, am I just not looking hard enough??
/necropost (well, only 2 months old)
Thought I'd throw up my dream build of a solid WS build since there are some others posted. I came up with this last year or so, when purples were a lot cheaper, but now it'd be extremely expensive.
Capped ranged defense (in any form) and perma Eclipse (Eclipse is perma with ~88% global recharge)
The power choices and slotting is something I could easily work with, most others probably couldn't stand the sacrifices made.

It's an appropriate thread, as it helped me on the path of the Warshade...
Or, in my case, chittery death Nictus thing evil is more fun, damnit!
And so is this. I finally understand the whole hype of Mire and shapeshifting in a shade. It's AWESOME, especially when you mire a whole spawn, morph into Nova, and obliterate them in about two shots with the AoEs. Incredible.
I haven't even got to Dwarf form yet!
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Wow awesome thread makes me want to roll a warshade.
Anyone got a Common IO only build? I tend to avoid sets in that sort of it will happen if it happens sort of way. I don't plan my builds around having them. I do slot common level 25IOs asap and stick to that until I gain access to common level 45IOs.

"Hmm, I guess I'm not as omniscient as I thought" -Gavin Runeblade.
I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.
Oh I do use cheap sets when I stumble on them or find them cheap on the market. I just don't normally plan around them. I find if I build for decent common IO build (i have a crafter character to build them on the cheap and store up stuff like luck charms from my alt running) that runs fine on its own then I don't have to sweat to much about the lack of set bonuses. And if I do find an awesome set for cheap it usually does not take much to respec if needed to get the slots where there need to be for it. I have the Vet respecs so I always have a few to spare on any character.
I was poking at Plasma's Ultimate Guide to Kheldians so I will most likely go with his "The Gold Standard Tri-Form Warshade Build" its a 3 year old build but it's a start.
Here's the Triform build im rocking atm, all SO slotted on live, and level 34 so far. It's been great fun

Mids simply emulates this "feature" as far as I know, since the game does not yet (if it ever will) prevent it.
