Hmmmmm so what im thinking here is if they would have left everything alone.... Then we would have a game about actual SUPER HEROES and SUPER VILLIANS.

They take away AE, after giving it and FULLY KNOWING what it was capable of producing. Yet they have done nothing about purple Io's that sell for 250-500million each.
Shocking.
They have cut the effectiveness of farming down to the most minimal impact possible. thus cutting the influence earning potential for the purple io's mentioned earlier, But still did nothing to effect market values.
Shocking.
Soooooo I guess bottom line is this.....
Wouldnt it be great if the DEVS, mods, owners, stock holders, or whoever it may be, just took the time to LISTEN to some of the people with the suggestions.... and not just the ones suggesting PINK IMPS

By moving farmers back out into real content, they've dropped the prices of purples, uncommon salvage, and rare pool A drops in less than a month by a range of 50 to 75%. I will say in response to Buds post there is one tiny thing I agree with. If the Devs left the AT's super powerful and equally overly powerful this would feel a little more like a superhero game. Not that I am complaining about how it is, but I would love to be able to pick up a subway car and throw it. Also to be on the receiving end of a big *** chevy being thrown at my hero toon and have it just bounce off their chest would be pretty cool too. :-)

Wouldn't it be great if street zones felt more interactive? If you could read a poster and it be up-to-date? If there were street items that you could throw (steal at least this from C.O. - they stole enough from CoH)? Items that GMs could crush and Rikti destroy with their bombs and invasions. Perhaps something to defend from the Zombie invasion when it comes? Maybe make it an item that provides a small faction(red/blue)-based buff, to offer incentive to defend it (a bit like the relics in DAoC)? Perhaps have something like that in the PvP zone so that fighting villains (or heroes) wasn't just about trying to find the invisible needle in a haystack (you know, the one that stabs you in the back)?

You don't "have to have them" in order to play the game.
You only "have to have them" to be L337.
Unless you haven't heard, the Freakshow are L337.
If you don't want to pay for them, then don't complain about them.
If you want them, then start earning the influence to get them.
I get purples dropping on higher level missions (what I consider to be) quite often and I DO NOT farm.

Like I said, when I'm running characters in that range (which I only do rarely), I quite often get a purple drops on every couple of missions.

I think you're missing the point about what a con is supposed to be about. If the whole thing is still in the game (test server or live), what's the point of even doing it? Cons bring nerds and geeks of all shapes and sizes out into the real world for a few days so they can mingle with each other and experience live interaction, and pay way too much for an autograph from someone whose still semi-famous for something they did ten years ago. It's also a chance for the game devs to put names to faces they hear about from the forums so when they complete their evil plans to screw PvPers and Villains completely, they can properly imagine those players crying in their sleep.
