Extreme Makeover (Turbo_Starr Edition)

Turbo is doing an amazing job every time I go to the base I am more and more impressed. Sadly some family issues have been keeping me fairly busy so I haven't had a chance to post much here but I over the next few days I will try to take some more screen shots and post some thoughts on this project.

Thanks, glad you guys are liking it so far. As for new pictures, I will post tomorrow. I made some minor changes in the back end of the room. I should be done come mid next week with this room, then off to the control room.

Well, I'm halfway through my Volcano Themed base.
After about 5 redesigns I finally set on one that I liked. This one actually does not show any Volcanic Rock in it, but I may add some later.

You Warp into the base here, in a small room with a couch and TV. Almost like a Lounge.

You look around. You see a stairwell going down.

Behind you is a Balcony. You step out on it.

Boom.
You're in a Volcano.

Over here is our Dock sorta thing.
I never did quite get a design for a skiff I liked. When I find one, I'll put a bunch of them here.

Here is the inside of the Dock Tower.

This plot is empty as of now, but it will soon be the energt station.

Here is the Halfway completed Prison.

The less than halfway completed Office.

And the empty Teleportation Chamber.

Updated pictures. I added some more tunnels and closed off some rooms. Next I need to add the bridge to the other side then the lava to cover the tunnel tops. After that I will add the arcane floor and walls and change the room color to red.

Wow this is looking awsome and has given me some ideas for my own base(s). Okay one I am still working on power issues.... Anyway, nice job Turbo I just found this after a long absents from the boards and I can't wait to see the final product.

I messed around with the room color and covered the front tunnels. This is a mini teaser as to what the whole base of the room will look like. I still have to work on the center mountain with the energy unit, oh and I changed the tech floor to arcane.

Looks great with the lava in place.

I know that base raids were not part of the plan, but some of the Arcane defense crystals/statues would look amazing at certain locations.

Been busy with RL. I actually took in a stray cat over the weekend has been at the vet all week with possible leukemia. Anyway...I should finish the lava this week. I just laid out the floor tile to do so.

LOL I know the story of the stray cat only mine was a kitten and he followed me home like a puppy! Ah such is life.

This is really amazing, can't wait to see this once it's finished. By the way, any chance we could get an item count when this is all done?

Good news, the cat is back from the vet so I will finsih the room this weekend.

I Just finished the center lava room. It took just under 1800 units and over 24 hours of game time. Here are pictures of the outer shell. You can see the tunnels below the lava which are hidden on the overview shot from below. Enjoy!

And here are the pictures of inside the mountains. The rooms are empty, I am going to go back in at the end to do all the detail.

It looks really good. A sg mate that has been gone awhile just came back and poked his head in the base. I think he spent almost 30 mins moving around that one room amazed.
