Villian side common salvage market bottomed out?
You guess correctly.
Many of us predicted this would happen.

3. People left AE and returned to playing the game where salvage drops instead of tickets.
It will not turn around unless something is introduced to draw players to activities which do not produce salvage drops.
However this should also result in the rise again of rare salvage and recipes/enhancements since tickets are no longer being generated and buying those items.

This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.
Yup, and i'm trying to help the situation by farming for hours and listing all salvage for 1 inf. I'll make my inf buy selling some of the purps i'm getting falling from the skies above! 3 in 4 days so far.
For redside outside of the AE time period, it has always been more profitable to take your salvage and craft common IOs, than to merely list it. I made many millions on mnay characters doing this.
Blueside with the larger number of badgers dumping at below cost, made the salvge generally more profitable to sell.
There are commons that you can make inf on blueside, but they are fewer and generally less profitable than redside

During the AE days, you were looking at 600-800 and wait a while or 1M RITE NAO, and some items were frequently trading at 1.5m-2m.
I'm attributing this to a decline in the number of recipes worth crafting coming into the game. We'll see what happens over the weekend, but oranges haven't gone up yet.
Well, rare salvage has the advantage of being deterministic with tickets, you go there, plop 500 of them, and get the orange shiny you wanted. If there's a spike of 3-4m, as it's been seen recently in some instances, it's trivial to whack some holograms and make a decent profit
As far as recipes go, I was extremely surprised when I got an Achilles Heel proc yesterday as an arc reward, and checking on the market turned out to be worth several millions (something that I have never seen happen before, and I've bought many many of these for different alts). Haven't seen much of a price hike in the more common sub-30 recipes yet, which is probably because of all the new alts being played. We'll see how it pans out after the new alts start hitting the level cap.

Achilles' Heel Feature strongly in several rad blaster builds I have seen, they have significantly gone up in price since I16 on blueside.

Actually, seems to be the opposite. I've seen Hami goo for 500k RITE NAO, and a number of other orange rares for between 700 and 900. Highest I've seen was 1.5m RITE NAO.

It seems that the proc in this set is a popular one in anything that is looking to do more damage whehter a blaster or my favorite scrapper. I just want one of the PvP -resist procs to add a little more. Last time I checked they'd stack.

I think the price is actually dropping like a rock right now, so I wouldn't hold out for a high bid on those. I know I ended up with about 5 of em, which is apparently 3 more than I can use between two Earth/ doms =(
If you're redside, I probably ended up with it. These were up in the 80m range during the AE craze, and I mistakenly thought that both of my Earth/ doms could slot them in 3-4 powers because they have multiple AOE defense debuffs so I had 20m ish bids on everything from 10-20.. which filled post-nerf before I could pull 'em off.

All those 11.7m recipe bids between 13 and 19 came from my very first character (37th level rad/rad corrupter), but he has since withdrawn from the red-side AH proc market. Selling at 20m+ a piece (with the elsewhere high-turnover level 20's going for a lot more), for <12m cost, he picked up a quarter of a tea-cup (1/4 bn inf) in the process.
This is one rare case of putting up spread bids across multiple levels knowing that only a few would fill per week could profit considerably, and it's (or was!) easy, logging in once every other day. Market experiment? Success this time!
The rain of salvage is impressive. I know the OP is about the Black Market, but yesterday I saw 5600 Demonic Threat Reports for sale on WW, with zero bidding. I am pretty sure that's the most I've ever seen of any one thing for sale.
I wonder what the maximum of any one thing the market can hold is.

Was away last week and noticted this on monday. some of the salvage that I use to craft the commons some of my toons sell has just crashed and although the prices for the commons I am into has also dropped my profit margin has remained the same or slightly increased because the crafted prices have not dropped as much
DOOOOM... lol. Let's break the market with many, many low prices.
On the one hand, it's nice for crafters.
On the other hand, it's a shame, since I was giving all the various alts I make a starting stake by grabbing extra salvage from my base and getting 20k+ for it on the market. But everything's 0-50 bidding/1k-4k for sale. Ah, well. Guess those alts will just have to throw larger stacks of salvage at vendors for now....

Are we sure that Wents and the Black Market haven't merged? I haven't been blue side shopping for weeks.

The oddity to me was how rapid the prices crashed. I downloaded 16, logged, filled my junk bag, went BlackMarket (sorry just can't abbreviate to BM; too much exposure to Seth Green & Seth MaFarlane) and had a "What the #ell moment".

characters playing 'normal' missions generate mountains of salvage.
throw in the multiplying factor of letting folk set their own spawn size and a nearly instantaneous & cataclysmic collapse was guaranteed.
The low level stuff will rebound once the wave of power proliferation characters moves up the food chain, but the high level stuff is back to vendor trash status.

Salvage prices always done that daily thing,
but since i16 there's a major swing...
downward trend on the very low end,
and peaks (still) higher than I expected.
(Please keep in mind, this is all subjective)
On a time span from sleepy morn' hours in America,
wee morning hours; nothing on camera.
Until they (you) wake up all over the land,
to hit up the market with coffee in hand.
Again it does swing, when "Ami" prime time stops,
the Market slows down, and the other shoe drops.
-Common salvage prices: lows have taken a dive.
High prices less, keeping profits alive.
-Rare salvage prices are sinking less drastically.
Tickets still pay off (I think quite fantastically).
-Uncommon salvage prices are all over the place.
Only teh Eebil can keep up with the pace!
Simply some simpleton's subjective observations.

Salvage was the only thing not epically broken by the recently found drop bug (which a dev just stated has been in since issue 9 ).
With the difficulty new settings (read epic levels of lts and minions killed EACH MISSION) I've had to delete HUNDREDS of salvage pieces to make room for rare salvage that's also dropping like candy.

From my observation looks like villian side common salvage has crashed.
1. Have others noticed this?
2. Is the hero side the same?
3. If this does seem to be the case, what is the cause and will it turn around?
My guess- more non-AE farmers adding more salvage to the system.
