whats the must OP class now in game
Good gravy! I just wasted nearly an hour reading a discussion from 2 1/2 years ago...
This thing is skeletal, most necroposts don't bother me... when they are a month or so old, but yikes 2009? How'd you even find this thing?
Maestro Mavius - Infinity
Capt. Biohazrd - PCSAR
Talsor Tech - Talsorian Guard

Actually, I think its you who are the new one here.
You seem new. You should know that in this game (and most others), the build doesn't really matter nearly as much as the person controlling it. The most twinked out, overpowered build in the game isn't going to do any good to someone who doesn't know how to use it.
And on teams, don't count on being the center of attention. You might find a few Defenders can make everyone else on the team nigh invulnerable and unstoppable. |
The PVE game requires button pressing to succeed. That doesn't take a lot of skill. The game is filled with players who rolled FOTM builds that were PL'd from 1-50 and then kitted out with IOs and Incarnate powers. The only skill involved is knowing which buttons to press, when and in what order.
People put far too much emphasis on "skill" in this game. Its not a skills based game. The hardest thing to learn is how to leverage the IO system. Beyond that...its just copying what you've seen. Monkey see, monkey do.
PVP takes a little more of this "skill" but even the most "skilled" player will fall to the greenest stalker if they aren't built properly. This is, after all, why the devs so heavily nerfed the PVP game that leveraged (exploited some would say) certain skills like kiting and jousting.

The post you are responding to IS OVER A YEAR OLD. If you're going to mock someone for their understanding of how the game is now, make sure they're not talking about the game as it was two years ago.

This, which is why after reading the remark about Brute Damage cap being 800% on the first page I was like wait what? then I noticed the dates.
Nevermind the necro, I got a laugh reading this thread (and some other from the same OP )
Please illuminate me by demonstrating how the game takes "more skill" to play now than it did two years ago?
when i find such class's in games, i tend to have the must fun i found,
am a exploiter at heart
I grin ear to ear when i found near godlike power and use it perfectly to own in a game
