Alright.. spent awhile on Mid's and I think I came up with a way to make him stronger. 40% E/N Defense + 26% Ranged and all I lost was 25% Regen and 10% Recov. I did trade out Shockwave for Evis, though. Gonna see if I like it.
Do you have that build handy by any chance?

Yup, here you go! I don't even break a sweat at +1/6 now.

EDIT: Thunderstrikes are 50s not 40s and Resist Energies should have a common IO, Aegis Unique or Glad Armor Unique if you're Bill Gates.

Decided to respec back into Shockwave. Just didn't like Evis at all. Doesn't mesh well with the feel of the rest of the set. I'm doing fine on the LGTF, ITF and LRSF. I have noticed my end is hurting a little, though. Gonna see if there's anything I can do to fix it. One idea is a Ragnarok set in Shockwave.

I am sitting at 28 right now. Having some trouble with Warriors but not much else. I worked out an experimental build for 50 that will require a respec (currently have swipe but find I rarely use it). I wanted to add in Darkest Night but am reconsidering now. Question - Will Soul Tentacles resist the KB of Shockwave? Current idea build is this:

Only Electric Fences gives -knockback from the Brute epics. Tentacles doesn't.

Has anyone got their hands on a Stealth IO? If I slot it in something like Sprint, does it suppress when you attack?

So far, I'm liking my lvl 28 claws/EA because he can start off the fight with 1/3-1/2 a fury bar because he'll claw at an enemy while his friends stare at the walls. Once the 1st target dies is when the fight really starts and everyone finally notices their friend in pieces. I'm curious if more stealth will let me keep fighting 1 target at a time until I get over 1/2 fury.

Even if it doesn't I'm still getting one eventually so I can have perfect PvE invis.

Yes, I'm almost certain the Stealth IO suppresses when you attack or are attacked, and it takes 10s of not attacking/being attacked before it re-activates.

I haven't tested this in a long time but I'm pretty sure someone will correctly me if I'm incorrect.

So how are the claws/nrg brutes coming along? I have gotten mine to 33 and am really enjoying him a ton. Usually duo with an MA/Nin stalker and we have no problems at all with just us. Add in a couple of visible folks and then the annoyance begins hehe.
Currently I am running with two builds. One with taunt to attempt to keep aggro off the visible squishies and one without it. Not having too many issues but I lack a shield on the taunt build which is occasionally painful. Retweaking my builds again which brings me to a question... getting S/L defense to 45+ has been really easy. But my AoE/Melee/Ranged numbers tend to be low then. What's a good balance on those?

Hit 50 a couple days ago. Got a build together on a 200 mill budget. Going to RWZ to see if could put a dent on a pylon... brb

edit:
poooo....
grasping for air... guess gonna need those healing uniques

Well, your melee/range/AoE defense numbers aren't that important when playing /EA, since the only things they matter for are blocking pure psychic or toxic attacks with a positional component to them. Some psi or ranged defense would help there, but securing the s/l/e/n/f/c stuff comes first.

Rule number six of an empathy defender is NEVER underestimate a blaster's ability to die. I don't care if he has CM, Fort, both RAs, bubbles (both FF and Sonic), and is fighting next to a Storm defender with hurricane on. If there is a way to die in that situation, the blaster will find it.
