My new tanker for i16 is....
im all over the elec armor / stone melee myself,WAS gonna go elec/elec but my mind was changed last week.
sheild/elec would so rock but damn i dont wanna have to make another sheild tank.i wolud never play my shield/fire if i did.
either way i got a nice tinted stone mallet crystal and stone fist crystal to go along with the blue elec aura..
I'm going electric armor/stone melee as well, although I've got bright yellow electricity and the lava theme with a neutral stone base and bright yellow lines (mutant powers awakened by being caught in the electrical explosion of some mining equipment, and then being buried in the resulting cave-in). Man I love power customization!
Stone melee is by far my favorite melee set, and so it was a natural choice to go with electric. Also, the added mitigation should help to shore up any weaknesses elec/ may turn out to have (and lightning reflexes should really help /stone's slow recharging attacks). And I must admit I'm a sucker for characters with more active, tactically-interesting mitigation like fault, energize, and power sink.
Trying to go for a relatively cheap build, mostly frankenslotting and a little S/L defense, with a couple of slightly more expensive uniques donated by my high level defender. Not sure on the availability of all of these sets, but whatever. Skipping stamina will be an interesting experiment - I really wanted those free power slots.

This is what it means to be a tank!
Still Elec/Elec for me w/S/L capped def. Was thinking of Ice/Elec (fits thematically too since cold increases conductivity and all), but wanna play w/new powersets.
Re the OP's build, there's just no excuse for Shields to not cap all 3 positionals. Also, it'd be good to get Shield Charge & LR on the same recharge synch as BU, I'd think. For my Elec/Elec, I have BU + LR every 30 sec or so for much tasty win.

So are you making an i16 tanker? And if so, what will that tanker be? |
My wife approves of your mids color coding.
I'm turn between a few combinations, I have an elec/elec on test but I wasn't thrilled with it's shields at 50 even with rare io sets, so when I sit down to make something I'll decide.
I created a Thor-like character : elec/mace just for the concept
and I have a concept for my shield/elec (I did not roll a shield tank yet) i just want to shield charge + ligntning rod once in my life !

I was looking at a a Fire/Elect or an Elect/Fire (as I tend to enjoy Fire Tanking and Fire Melee), but I had also pondered building an Elect/Elect. As fate would have it I went with the Elect/Elect the benefit (hopefully) being able to see both sets in action at once. I am partial to rolling a SD/Elect or maybe Invuln/Elect which may still happen.
Other combos I've pondered are Ice/Elect and Elect/Dark.
Tanker Tuesdays: Meet in King's Row by IP Gate 6pm PT9pm ET.

3rd Tuesdays (Odd months) Freedom, (Even months) Virtue, 4th Tuesday, Tour, Server TBA
Brutal Thrashing Thursdays: Justice (ask Papa Slade when),meet in RWZ 6pm PT9pm ET.
SD/Elec is on my list as well. Been holding off on leveling my SD/SS until I16 hit to see if more teams were available thanks to Super SK.
Im going for Elec/SS I think it will be lots of WIN if I can get everything in the build I want at the right levels. Hoping to get the defense to around 35% if I can do that I think it will be a solid build. Not as tank as others but solid.
The hard things I can do--- The impossible just take a little bit longer.
If numbers are so much more important than a teammate who is fun to play with, forget about the game altogether and go play with a calculator instead. -Claws and Effect-
Late but fashionable, I chose to run an Elec / SS. I have to say with the chance to stun, the damage of FS, and the heal/regen in elec is far better than most. IMO
I have a lvl 50 stone/elec brute and hasten with quickness really helped out for her attack chain. For I16, I'm going with the elec/elec tank...not so worried about the weak dmg resistance as she'll be a super sapper and after sucking up aggro no one will have any endo to attack her with.
Planning to roll:
- Shield Armor/Electric Melee (waited for Elec to be ported to have a Shield Tank gogo tp)
- Electric Armor/Battle Axe (figure the KD will help giving the toon breathing room)

I rolled a Elec armor/Dark melee yesterday, was fun for the first 5 levels.
Elec/Elec here for the stacked - End
L50s: Tanks: Cryofission - Ice/EM - Dr Celsius - Fire/Ice - Saint George - SD/SS | Controllers: Psichosis - Ill/Kin - Major Chaos - Ill/Stm | Scrappers - Neutron Crusader - DM/SR
Currently Levelling: Angelic Blade - BS/WP Scrapper | Seeds of Destruction - Plant/Kin Controller
I'm still debating between making a wp/elm or a shield/elm. And no, I'm not making both. I have bad enough altitis as it is.

I had planned on making a Fire/Electrical tanker for i16. On the other hand, I always liked the Tribal shield, but had no concept to use it with, until yesterday I came up with one. So I made a shield/electrical tanker. This looks like a good combination that will be relatively easy to IO up, since Multistrike is a well balanced set that does many helpful things in a build like this.
So are you making an i16 tanker? And if so, what will that tanker be?
