I remember my first commission... good times.

Gratz on a nice piece

Congratulations! Neat piece... very different style than what I usually see done in commissions around here.

Agreed...could be an animated character...

oooo City Of Heroes the Animated series!!!!!!!

Anyone..I would totally watch it.

that's a very solid piece to start a collection with.

Nice way to begin your collection. It can be very rewarding and also very taxing if you get carried away (though feel free to get carried away if you can shoulder it )*

Oooo, a CoH animated series *drools*...granted if it wasn't the Surviving Eight...sorta bored of that team.

*I do not condone wonton commissioning and it should be a process that is preferably taken slowly to savor each and every morsel you receive.

Soo.. in other words.. don't be like TA? ;-)

Ha, those sound like words being put in my mouth

Nope, just go at a comfortable pace for you and appreciate the talent people share with you

Very cool piece. Definitely someone I'll throw into my "check out" list for when I do buy my own first artz... It's not my favorite style (I tend to be more on the realism side) but when it's this well done this style is very cool.

ok, stop reading now if you don't want to see my one minor, nitpicky piece of criticism on this piece....

ok, ok, I warned ya...

Personally, I'd have preferred the "art by" tag to be in a less conspicuous place. I fully understand an artist signing their piece... Even including a tag like that in case someone tries to crop out their signature I can at least 'get'... But it being smack dab in the middle like that is a drawback to me.

The secret is not to commission a new piece until all your old ones are done

But... how many 'old ones' can you have? Where's the limit!?

If you have nothing useful to say, you have two choices: Say something useless or stay quiet.

Sadly its because some people on dA being <insert your favorite derogatory word here> and stealing art, prominent credits embedded into non white/flat color space on a pic helps prevent outright theft. A lot of times the commissioner will get an unmarked image/file.

Heh.. I meant outstanding commissions. I have three pieces I'm waiting on (I'm not complaining, by the way; it's just the way it is for various circumstances) and told myself that I'm not throwing another into the mix until my "queue" is emptied up.
