Dragon*Con... We missed you NCNC!
Every year I've gone to D*C, CoH-related panels have ended up standing room only and spilling out the doors, but they still never come. I think there's been a Cryptic/Paragon Studios person or two, but never in any official capacity.

We had a couple lonely Freedumb members as well.
And while I have gone to D*Con for a small amount of years, this is the first year that I went to the panel, and was surprised at how much fun it was. And the majority would have loved to have official representation *coughhintcough*.
Edit: I think we also had a Triumph person or two.

Yeah. That was me. Hiya all!
Folks, I could blather with the best of 'em about why I enjoy the CoX environment, but I think the bottom line for us as players is that we don't play BECAUSE we want the devs to love us, but I think it's safe to say that many of us in attendance really LOVE the game and would truly take it as a badge of honor to thank one (or more) of the devs in person.
We love you, Paragon Studios. If you love us half as much as our subscription fees you'll come say "hello" to Dragon*Con. Otherwise you're meanie doodie heads.
I'm serious.

Well, I don't know if there is a petty cash budget for traveling across the country for other cons not in the Cali area. I'd like to think so. But it does kinda suck that the panels are full-to-overflowing, with no devs to chat with.
I can't really say much to blame them. I live all of 4 hours away and I couldn't make it either. Every year I make plans to attend, and then something happens that weekend that I can't avoid.
You guys speaks Koreean? either, even though the big NC dudes showed up, i hardly believe u could say a word.
As a matter of fact, I do speak a little. My uncle was stationed in Seoul, and I visited him a couple of times.
You sir, are a troll, and quite possibly Jack Emmert cruising his old games forums hoping to snag some much needed slaves for your new game :P. Or you're that Ropert fellow....

Here here! I was in back...the short dude with the CoV shirt in the middle of the loud Infinity group along the back wall.

Short dude with the hair or short dude that recognized dUmb members? And yes, I did love the loud group in the back.
I mean, we should have been quiet. Yeah.
And seriously I'm pretty sure DragonCon would love to have them. Perhaps cut them a slight deal with some things.
...and honestly, I'd be happy if they just sent one freaking person. Just one. I have flown in to DragonCon over 2k miles away twice now. It's not that hard, and it's not THAT expensive, considering, especially if you are willing to go to travel sites or just troll the airline sites for deals. It's really just the same as going to a con on the same coast, just a couple more hours in the air.

...Just no assurances the bindings would hold.
Also, fact learned from CoX Panel @ Dragon*Con: Virtue Players don't use Brackets in reality, because they are RPing themselves.
Now you know, and knowing is half the battle!

Gee Eye Joooooooe!
I would have been happy with a single flier, or maybe some clips of stuff coming out in i16. Anything to let us know that NCSoft gives a rat's backside about us on this side of the country. Even if I had seen it already, it still would have been better than the incredible amount of Nothing we got.
Just because I have more alts than I can remember doesn't mean I'm an altaholic. I can stop making alts anytime I want.
Really, I can.
I attended the Dragon*Con panel, too. I was all the way in the front left of the room. I play on Guardian mostly. The panel was great, the game is great, and it was disheatening not to have any official representation from CoX, and that goodies that were sent from NCSoft were for Guild Wars.
Players on the east coast of of the U.S. should get some official attention, too. The room was full, lots of people standing in the back, so any official rep would have a large and attentive crowd to talk with. No worries there.
Anyhow, it was fun to see everybody, and Dragon*Con was a blast! Maybe next year we'll get some official attention.

I've never been to Dragon Con. What would a "CoH-related" panel be?

That and, Guild War Swag.

They can't be at DragonCon when they are at the kickass PAX!
I enjoyed the Con .. it was a Blast.
Like so many on this thread have stated before, it's time that the East Coast was shown a little love. The panel was great and everyone there had fun, but it would have rocked if we'd had an "Official Representative" to grill.
I realize that PAX demands more attention, however it shouldn't be too hard to grab all those attendee's and have them draw a lottery and send the winner to us. They'll be treated well .... we promise!!
I'd like to Thank the Infinity group in back for providing a little spice to the proceedings ... you guys were a Hoot!
And a quick apology to the tall, loud Infinity fellow who sat next to me and tried to get me to talk. It sucks to be "Eat Up" with shyness .... Thanks for the effort.

Also, a WARM shout out to the OTHER tall and loud Infinitie who made my awesome panel sign: "Lvl 1 Scrapper LFT AE Team" Went perfect with me having my sword there.

As the loudmouth who actually asked the question as to why we didnt get any representation from NC/paragon I still ask the question. Why did we get info on 16 and rogue handed to us by a fellow panel goer who had read it on the forums after it announced on the forums and presumalby Pax? It would have been nice to have someone there who was willing to talk to us and maybe offer us something other than Guild Wars. Other MMO games that were there for panels had reps there to meet with gamers and show their appreciation to their player base.
Yes I know Dragon Con isnt a gamers Con and yes it is pricey to come out to the east coast, but somehow I think that if they really cared to hear from their East Coast players they would be there. Of course I will be asking the same question at Hero Con since paying to fly myself across the country seems to be the only way to get any love as an east coast player.
Where are we going and Why am I in this Handbasket?
Who was it that said we would have been happy with a rep from the mailroom?
Sad. . but true.
I do find it amusing that "The Guild" found both Pax and Dragon*Con important enough to send members to both.
Felicia is ossum.

Hey, to any of ya'll who are reading:
We missed having an official NCNC presence at Dragon*Con this year. Granted, we only had the one panel on Sunday, however, we did manage to make it standing room only. Pinnacle, Virtue, Victory, Justice, and Infinity players were in attendance (off the top of my head), and we had a healthy discussion/debate/argument over the game. And while we appreciate ya'll sending us some promo give-aways from your library of games, we weren't there to celebrate Guild Wars.
So, TL : DR. We missed you at D*Con, there's enough people who'd love to talk to SOMEONE, and here's planning for a larger panel, and an NCNC presence next year!
