Umm, anyways, what times do you log on? Champ has some pretty big fluxes in population throughout the day depending on when you log in.
Shin is right; timing is really important when looking for teams (the time you are on and catching teams between missions sometimes too so you can actually see them in the search.) I see a lot of teams go mish-to-mish without having a very visual presence in a zone.
A lot of the social- chattiness on Champion takes place over the global channels and in coalition chats as well. There have been many nights when I think I could be the only one in a zone but there are people chatting away in BMT or the HoJ coalition and vent.
If you do want a home on Champion, just give the word though- there are a bunch of really great super/villain groups on the server. I'm sure people will mention more of them by name, lol.

What you won't find anywhere else is a community that despite serious dysfunction, always is doing it's best to work together to make each others gameplay better and better. I know that's one of the big reasons I call it home. That, and all my stuff is here...Oh, and watch out for the penguins... They're friendly sorts, but next thing you know, your lunch money's gone, and you're waking up in a bathtub full of ice in Tiajuana... *%&#ing penguins...

Welcome to Champion.
There are a lot of phenomenal people here and there is plenty to do to keep you entertained throughout a month. There are a few global channels (some are free to join, some require an invite) that you may want to consider joining.
Were you considering Red or Blue side? Champion seems to have a considerably larger Blueside population than Red.

Also is a West Coast timed server, so if you're East Coast coming on around 11 am every morning you may have to wait a few hours before more people clock in. Most activities start about 7 pm EST, and sometimes 9 pm EST.
While many players in Champion are friendly, do be aware we have our fair share of DRAMA.

I've heard that Justice server has a decent population from Australia.

If you play during those times, you'll find there's lots of west coast folks still in game then. Some come and go depending on their school/work schedules, but generally there's a couple of waves of good times to do things. Early evening, when the East Coasters are in their primetime, and about 9pm your time, when the others start to log in.
Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.

Which, if you've read through some of our threads, you see is very apparent how we got it. (I didn't help) Great server, sparks up around 12pm-1pm est and doesn't stop until the wee hours of the morning. (I'm an east coast player)
And don't believe what you hear about the peinguins (Pingus), they're nice. But what ever you do, DON'T take your wallet out of your pocket.. They'll take it >:|, I'm comin' for ya ping.

I think it's misleading to say that just because the server is located on the West Coast it is run by that time zone. The majority of server-wide events seemed to be based on times most convenient to East Coast players who work during the day, or people who don't work during the day moving toward the West.
Thank you very much I was just curious, since some MMO's have servers for different time zones to make help with setting up raids, pvp etc. since the majority of the players that will be on that server are in that time zone. But like I said I was curious lol :P Champion is a very good server, i have met a lot of great players and made some friends on here. I had to take a break for awhile due to real life issues. But I am getting back into CoH/CoV again and I missed it lol.
