This one would be a good one to watch on indemand. Most of the livestreams I've done lately are more open-ended conversations about what I'm working on at the moment. This one is going to be more structured because I have so much to cover. I really learned a lot about Illustrator in the last couple of days, so I think I can really present a core base of knowledge to build on for someone interested in learning vector art.

The PVPEC has been trying to get a server rep from Protector for a couple months now. Pretty much everyone from Protector who had any interest in pvp has either moved to Freedom at this point or left the game. I posted that they were wasting their time trying to promote it on Protector.

Someone left the comment "Oh, look who jumped on the bandwagon."

I guess that would be the bandwagon of people ..who have noticed that..there is no pvp happening on Protector. The irony is that I promoted pvp for years on Protector and I got that constantly: "pvp is not big on Protector" "it's not popular here." So now that its cold and dead and in the ground, someone is ******** that I remark on it.

I dunno, it's hard to gauge the motivations of people who are too chickensh** to put their names on their negative rep, or just speak openly.

I just got my replacement wacom yesterday so I don't really have anything planned for Thursday's livestream. I'm open to requests if anybody has any.

You know what'd be cool? Show us how you begin a sketch. Maybe just that horrible part where you stare at empty screen and try to decide how to lay down your first lines and blocking, 'cos I know I'd love to see someone else going through that part.

Do you generally do your sketches digitally? Or do you start with pencils and stuff like that?

Digitally. I really have a dislike of drawing on paper now.

Yeah it's got a different nib than I'm used to. I don't know whether I like it or not yet. I might swap it out for a smoother tip later.

I'd like to see something done that showcases the creative process from the very beginning. Take a subject or character and let's collaborate in the chat to create something 'new' right then and there. Just a basic layout sketch, nothing finished. But it's really enlightening to see the process in action because you could finally hear the internal thoughts and decisions that go into choosing the artistic path you want to take.

"This pose is good because of 'X,' but we want to have this kind of emotion, so let's use 'Y' instead. This limb here looks good, but we want to avoid a future problem with the background interaction here." Type of thing.

Seeing problems *before* they start is a really advanced skill that I notice most people don't have. So it would be really educational for everyone, methinks.
