If You Reach A Certian Level In The Game Can You Create Your OWn Base? And IF So What Level Is IT?

Yes, base building is a big part of the game for some.

I believe you can get your own SG (which you have to do first) at level 10. See the main room in CIty Hall.

To Start A Super Group You Must Be At Least Level 10, If I Recall Correctly. Or, Join Someone Else's At An Earlier Level, If They Grant You Base Editing Privileges.

Are you on a trial account have you already purchased the game. I think trial accounts are not allowed to make a Supergroup (SG), but I'm not sure.

The links SpaceNut included in his posts are to the Paragon Wiki, which is one of the best player created/maintained resources available to anyone. I encourage you to check it out. I used to always keep that open in a browser window and alt+tab between the two. It's that handy.

You have been pointed to the place to learn this twice now. Click on the links provided above, and you can read all about it.

If you've played other MMOs, you probably know of Supergroups as "guilds". And the links giver earlier in the thread have everything you need to know.

I would add that building your own base will be kinda hard if your the only member of said group.

You have to earn Prestige by playing in SG mode, then use the Prestige to buy your base and edit it. This can get kinda expensive and time consuming if you want a fully functional base.

If all you wants a small little pad to hide in then shouldn't be an issue.

Indeed. Building a base requires resources that a lone hero does not have (yet). I would suggest JOINING an existing supergroup first. Thereby, you can learn the mechanics of the supergroup system, what sort of things bases are good for, etc.

Well, here are a couple of suggestions from a nitwit. Me.

If you are like me, and are as intent as I was on starting a SG and having a personal base...here are some suggestions.

Start your SG right at level 10. Enter Super Group Mode. On your chat windows, there is a SG button, click it. It opens a roster of your SG and next to, on the right hand side is a "Enter SG Mode" button. Entering SG mode makes it so you earn Prestige (SG "Bucks") through fighting and missions and such.

Get a friend on that server to join your super group and invite your alts in. Try to invite as many as you have. Each new member gives you 20,000 prestige. It won't give any prestige after the 15th new member.

If you don't have anyone on your server you can trust to help, send me a private message via the forums with your server and char. name. I will make someone that can invite your alts. Then you can kick him out.

You want to get at least enough Prestige to buy an Oversight Center and a combo power unit.

After getting that, you can go back to playing as usual. Eventually you can save up enough to get your transporter room and a workshop.

You will find the transporter to be useful right away. But make sure you get exploration badges for the places you wish to teleport to...and make sure you are in SG mode when you get them.

If you weren't...then just go back in SG mode and "get" them again. (you already have the badge, you just need to go by them again in SG mode.)

Some basic stuff from a dunce. :P
Good Luck and enjoy the game.
Let me know if you need some help with anything.

I Agree Completely With The Above Advice As It Is Better To Learn From Someone Who Is Already Running A Supergroup Than On Your Own.

Actually, base building as a soloist depends greatly on how quickly you can produce influence. I have a bunch of Alts and a second account so all I did was to build the group at lvl 10, invite one of the characters on my second account and then invited a bunch of alts to the group. This provided some nice starting funds.

I have since hit 50, always playing in SG mode. I also use the market heavily to sell drops earned from playing, I run TFs as much as possible, resorting to AE when teams don't pan out. This way I am earning either tickets or merits so I can buy and craft recipes. Selling these on the market can be an excellent source for generating influence.

Then all I do is with every 100 mil of influence generated, go and turn it into Prestige in Galaxy City. I never worry about prestige because I am earning prestige faster than I can spend it on base items.

Let Me Make Sure That I'm Doing This Correctly:

Hold Down <Shift>.
Type First Letter Of First Word.
Release <Shift>.
Type Rest Of First Word.
Hit <Space>.

Hold Down <Shift>.
Type First Letter Of Second Word.
Release <Shift>.
Type Rest Of Second Word.
Hit <Space>.

Hold Down <Shift>.
Type First Letter of Third Word.
Release <Shift>.
Type Rest Of Third Word.
Hit <Space>.

That seams so much more efficient than:

Hold down <shift>.
Type first letter of first word.
Release <shift>.
Type rest of first word.
Hit <space>.
Type second word.
Hit <space>.
Type third word.
Hit <space>.........

Emphasis mine. If you're going to rip on someone, do it right.

Seems is the proper word there.

Heh.

Now I see.

SuperGroup Bases though...

Don't worry so much about the med bay as a teleport bay at first. You get more health back at the hospital than at the base.

Ummm...

Thats it. My brain is dry. I have cotton-brain.

For some examples of what can be built in bases go to this thread. Please remember what otheres here have said, in order to build a really cool base you need to earn a lot of prestige for your supergroup. Most of the bases feathered in the linked thread cost millions of prestige and many many man hours of building. Here is a pic of the entrance to the base for G.H.O.S.T. Squad

I find the invention table + enhancment/salavage store a better first choice for a solo/small base than teleporters, with all the ease of getting around zones, its nice to be able to pop in to craft from any zone.

I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.

Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.

So sad to be ending ):

It works even better if you set up coalitions with larger SGs who have all the teleporters.

You use base to keep all your stuff safe and their base for the transportation hub!

Head on over to the Base Construction forum, OP, for inspiration, tips & pointers, and potential coalition members to help you out during your growing phase!

Most likely, he didn't hit shift at all. In fact he probably doesn't even have a shift key.

I used to browse and post from my cell phone. It would automatically capitalize the first letter of every word. It took FIVE extra keystrokes PER WORD to make it NOT capitalize each word.

It may be normal for people to be jerks on the internet, but it really isn't necessary.
