You can duo it in 2.5

Posted

Good morning Petey, morning Attercap.

I need a posi on my tank for the task force commander accolade. But I never seem to find a team of the time. Why does it have to be so frickin long!

Heroes : Angrem (50 Stone tank), Exo Inferis (50 Fire blaster), Exo Proteus (50 ill/emp), IceVengance (50 cold defender)
Villains : AtomBomb (50 Rad/Kin corruptor), Aleks (50 SS/Inv brute), StoneLethal (50 EM/Stone brute), Davroz (50 Bots/Dark mastermind)

HAHAHAHAHAHA.

*wipes tears from eyes*

btw, I fix'd that for you. Yea, I thought I could do it in under 3 hours with a team of 3 since I soloed is in 3 1/2 hours. Didn't think a blaster and 2 controllers would nearly double my solo time.

*not quite epic fail*

And Fedor, if you want to do this over 2 nights, I'll do it with you. Spend a couple hours to start and finish it the next night. Wednesday and Thursday would be the only nights this week, otherwise next week. (Weekend is already a mess. I have to attack the DE in my back yard before the baseball season starts again with the boys.)

Does Posi really take that long? I've done it once with a full 8 person group all in the 10-15 range and we hammered it out in about 3:30. I'm always amazed when I hear about these 4-5 hour Posi runs.

I am so hoping they let you keep powers when exemplaring in i16 (Posi seemed to hint about some sort of power retention, anyway). My hero needs Posi (and Synapse) too, but I absolutely hate exemplaring with her. I've just gotten far too used to having Foot Stomp.

On the good side, 64 merits!
We did a Quaterfield on Saturday. 4h 43m and 111 merits God the mind-numbingness...

Honestly, I hope that they only let you keep the appropriate powers for the level you are exemping to. If they let you keep all the powers I think it would be too much and cause too much of an imbalance in the game overall.

It all depends on the team. Also, some silly people don't have a travel power at 15. I lulz at them. After the Rollister mission it's all pretty simple, just time consuming, incoherent and boring I know you're reading Posi and I've told you before... your TF sucks. Sorry dude.

<censor> "imbalance". Exemplaring isn't fun, because it takes away all these powers I worked to earn and play with.

Maybe in PvP there's a point to it, but for PvE content, I just don't see it. Damage, health, and so on already scale to level, so I don't see how having more powers is so much unbalancing. The low levels suck enough as it is (and i16 is going to speed them up even more).

I think the devs have realised that making the game fun is more important than "balance" issues (or they would have shut down AE long ago).

That you did Quarterfield in 4 hours is a testament to efficiency since that one is really rough. You must have split your team up for those go kill 30 of THIS type of bad guy.

Not really. Most of us could take on smallish groups of them on our own so we did. Larger groups required getting people to come help. Knowing the geysers and having jetpacks FTW.

If its that bad, and I don't think so I exemplar plenty, then lets just start with all powers available. no choosing nothing, all of them.

The idea is that the base level of a power would need to be adjusted to allow for powers to be available at all levels.

I find it a neat challenge when I loose powers cause I am exempt, creates a different situation for me and forces me to use different strategies.

Its just my opinion on this, and you can have your opinion also. I'm jsut saying I think its a bad idea. Now if they let you have up to the next 2 powers beyond the current level, I would be down with that.

Oog. I tried to learn the geysers way back when Rook just had SJ. Superjumping combined with the geysers really stunk. Made it hard to judge sometime and overshoots were very common.

I think that's a little extreme a place to take that. There should be some difference between a still-learning hero and an established one that is working to be an example to those still-learning heroes (the literal definition of what an "exemplar" is.)

I'm not sure what ATs you play, but I play Tankers and MMs; MMs don't really come fully into their own until at least 24 (and more so at 32), and Tankers go from indestructible to surprisingly squishy when you take half their toggles away.

That's a great time for the Dr., under 5 hours.

As for Posi, no it usually doesn't take that long, just when I do it. Typically people finish it in about 3 hours although people can speed-run it in under 2 hours. I've soloed it twice on my blaster and it takes a total of about 4 hours, but then I take my time spreading it out over 2 nights (so that adds some time also.) What makes it long is there are sooo many kill-alls and jumping between Steel Canyon, Skyway and Perez Park. Without Assemble the Team or everyone with a travel power it can take a very long time just getting to the doors.

I have to agree with Eiko, exemping and losing powers sucks. They really made the low levels to boring and lacking in abilities. I think that is easily reflected in how many changes have been made to make those low levels go as fast as possible.
