Some highlights:
power customization was requested back in CoX beta, maybe even the alpha. In the early days there wasn't just the time and manpower.
With the NCsoft purchase, BABs took the lead on pushing this project. It has been actively been worked on since Spring 2008, basically will be 18 about months from start to launch.
So no it wasn't a new idea, it wasn't even a new idea on day #1 of CoH waay back when.
As for who has/had it first Does it matter ?
Anyway CO isn't out yet, lets see who gets it live first (or maybe open testing first)

Ahh, thanks for clearing this up, as i stated before im only a little confused and dissapointed.
But i need no longer be!

Well if it's going to turn into a CO did this, CoX did this! thread then shall we point out how CoX was the first of the Super Hero genre in terms of MMORPGs?

When I read it the key points that stand out to me are your acknowledging that it's been planned here for a while, but the timing is suspicious and that it was a CO idea first.
No request for clarification, just an expression of suspicion and disappointment.

And that we've been wanting power customization since the game's beta, and got it not under Cryptic, who were busy working on their precious Marvel MMO and now Champions, but NCSoft?
Hey, Champions Online has a super customizable character creator, and that's so new and awesome but GASP! City of Heroes had that first! They're ripping us off, right?
Pff, all those with the view that CoX is 'copying' CO should grow up, in my opinion.

It seems to me that this idea was only released to the public and to other fellow CoX players long after CO, the main competitor had already confirmed this new feature in the game.

It's sad really, i'm not ranting on CoX...i like CoX! (Not as much as i do CO) It just dissapoints me, really.
