Of course since it's standard policy to not discuss GM conversations or actions, we will never hear the other side of the story which is why I find the tag "the gm kicked my puppy" very funny since anyone can claim anything when it comes to a GM.

So, I'm curious as to the "bogus reason" you were banned. I'm honestly curious, and hold no preconceived ideas. What were all three (four? six?) of these people wrong on?
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
I wish I could see the chat log.
Look between the new reply button and quick reply box. Alternately, look at the blue tag at the far right of the thread title in the thread list.
beneath the New Reply button, but above the white area for making a post.

All the GMs i have had been good but one got kinda of mad at me but that was because he thought the mission was clear all when it was one of those were you needed to bring a hostage to a glowie. But he wasn't to bad. If you don't yell at them or be stupid you should be good.
The closest I've ever gotten to a "bad GM" is someone whose only fault was slightly broken English, and that they had lost their connection while zoning into a mission that had spawned Devouring Earth far above my level.* That I replied that I knew how it felt to get disconnected like that could have been a factor in getting the mission auto-completed.
*This was before we were given the ability to skip missions that are either bugged or too difficult.

Wow, sorry to disappoint. I wasn't asking for anything but an answer to why something was happening in-game that wasnt supposed to be happening. I wasnt asking for a magical fix, I was frustrated and curious and wanted to know 'why' something was happening.
I didnt get rude and disruptive, quite the opposite actually - the GM was extremely 'smart-alecy' (I know that's probably spelled wrong but you get the idea). I was just asking why, and the guy started playing with me. It was weird. In the past few years my only very few experiences with GMs were them being nice. If I had been rude and disruptive that would have been evident in the copy of the conversation I mailed to Texas. The fact that a customer service manager called me probably shows my claims had a bit of merit and that I wasn't the one being rude. I made the mistake of asking how to file a formal complaint. The GM changed the subject. Stupid me - persisted again and asked how to go about writing a letter of complaint. His answer was to avoid the subject again. The last words before my account was suspended were 'Are you refusing to tell me where to send a letter of complaint?' Hehe, bang. My account was down. I didnt whine to anyone. I sent a formal letter of complaint, along with a transcript of the conversation, and then a follow-up to describe my interaction to date and to cancel my account. To me COX is a social game. I was the head of a SG and had many friends ingame that I will miss. I like COX. It was tough to cancel my account, but the interaction I had was beyond my limit to say 'forget about it'. I appreciate the customer service manager calling me, and even she said 'everything that could go wrong went wrong' with my interactions with customer support. |
If you EVER have a bad issue with the GMs/CSRs in City of, PM Nivene or whoever is currently in the OCR. In my experience, they take complaints serious and have been known to expedite issues for various people.

They are an online company, with various venues of online contact - to me, that makes it a little more likely you will get a response if they know what they are doing. Snail mail means you decided to spend extra money to complain or whatever.

Discussing interactions with GM's on the forums is not allowed, and is non productive. I heartily recommend that anyone who is dissatisfied with any interaction with NCsoft employees take it up through the link in my signature or by pm'ing any of the community personnel on the forums.

I've worked customer service. Yes, you're paid to be polite and courteous and helpful (within the bounds of what you're allowed to do). Guess what, the people that you are helping aren't always in the best mood. Some can be downright abusive. In time it wears you down. I've seen normally good personnel snap and yell at customers on the phone. Also, the customer isn't always right, yet you're expected, within reason, to act like they are.
Add to that the improbability of any snail mail actually getting a response, and the even higher improbably of a company rep actually calling someone up...I just don't buy it.
