Hence why my fix didn't remove Smurphy from it. I run in his ITFs on Virtue. 137 deaths was FUN.

sounds interesting! Any green machines on Triumph?

Triumph Lurker: mintmiki 50 emp/archer
basically, if you see a miki on Triumph, it's probably cute and it's probably me.

Huge thanks to cuppamanga and all the folks in the mac help forum for prolonging my borrowed time on this game.

While i've been tempted to try joining one of the Green Machine groups my general preference is for debuff-heavy sets. i like pissing off mobs as i cripple them. That and i don't have to take taunt to herd.

Another factor is that i already team with the Pingus. If no one's dying on a Pingu team you're not trying hard enough. A Pingu MoSTF run is likely to include running it on Invincible just to keep it interesting. (Of course there's also less dying on a MoSTF run.)

Dr. Todt's theme.
i make stuff...

Green Machine is only on Freedom. But anyone could get a few friends together, roll some Empaths, and get a GM-style team going. It takes 3 Empaths to really get the numbers working, more is gravy.

Weren't you taught that prevention is better than a cure?
He's already said EMT in real life and wants to emulate that in the game. EMTs do not, and aren't supposed to, focus on "prevention."

Why are you so worried about what stereotype he's perpetuating? He can play however he wants and shouldn't have to defend his chosen AT or Empathy style to you or to anyone else. My first character is an Empath and I don't give a damn what kind of stereotypes other Empaths are out there working on. I don't "rock the aura" and never have. I have and slot my blasts and use my Nova whenever I can. I let my own personal reputation speak for me, not the stereotypes others perform to.

CM-AB are also an essential part of what makes the Green Machines tankmages.

Thanks Fleeting, as a very active Green Machine player I have to say I get mildly irritated by the (unintended most likely) implication that somehow my empaths can't heal only blast. If needed they can be very effective at pumping out "big green numbers" to keep someone alive, have done so and will again as needed. But that same Ally I'm spamming heals at to keep upright will also have whatever buffs I can have on them, preferable ahead of time, and further I am going to be in the face hitting those foes with screech, cosmic burst or whatever else is at hand between heals to stop the incoming damage and make the ED-capped, set bonus boosted size of my heals irrelavant to my ally in the process.

Well my GMs (plural) can't heal. Don't have it slotted. Don't have it on my tray. Never needed nor wanted it.

Well yes, but you aren't normal and I'll happily shoot stuff in the face, popping vengeance as needed, forgetting all about healing while seeing just how much it does take to team wipe with capped recovery, to hit, regen, defense, damage, massive recharge and general mayhem when teamed with your crazy Emps (and Fallouts and Stormies and ...)!

EMT: "Oh, hey...that guy's running into the street. I guess I'll just let him do that, then patch him up after he gets hit by a car..."

You're right, he can play whatever he wants. But any EMT worth their salt would rather someone not get injured in the first place, if at all possible.

You're right, he can play whatever he wants. But any civilized human being worth their salt would rather someone not get injured in the first place, if at all possible.
Fixed that for you.

Of course, in a game, he should play however he damn well pleases.
