I was in IP earlier, and it was really bad. Doesn't seem to be as bad inside missions though. Been going on for a while.

Whatever they did to try and fix it yesterday doesn't seem to have worked then.

I just logged, and it was nightmarish by then. It was virtually unplayable.
I can't log on to Freedom and it takes several minutes to get on Protector.
When I do get on I'm plagued by mapserver disconnects and rubber banding.
This vexes me. I'm terribly vexed. >:-(

Last night, couldn't play on the home server, because it didn't come back up until right before we went to bed. Tonight, it takes 10-15 minutes to load-in at sign on, then... take 5 steps and mapserve... 5-10 minute login.... 5 steps and mapserve. Rinse and repeat.
Again I say... THANKS FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

After getting my Kin/Elec to 44, my ice tank to 14, and my VEAT to 35, I gave up for the day.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Even though I would think the game and the forums wouldn't have any effect on one another, but then again, I don't know **** about how **** works.
WOW, I've never seen lag this bad before on this game. Even in other double xp weekends, this is horrible. Trying to run a mission when you mapserv every 5 seconds is pretty awful. What's the problem devs??

I put a thread over in the Technical issues forum. It wouldn't hurt to go complain over there. It's a bit more likely to get noticed.
I tried to do a Numina Taskforce earlier. The entire team totally DC'd three times. The scary part was where we had Jurassic down to literally one hp and got a long LCMS message. I was about to scream when it finally came back with a task force complete dialog.
Totally useless trying to do anything on Protector for me. After the task force was over I went back to the Talos train station and it took me five minutes literally to make it to the Hospital to park the character.
Freaking ridiculous.

I've given up playing on protector at all this weekend. I am SO PISSED!!! I'm starting to think I made a mistake by not leaving my account off (when I turned it off recently).
Wow, then it's a good thing I had to fix dinner and started playing Half life 2 instead... o.o It was juddery before I logged off though, so I guess it hasn't been any better since
On the other hand: more people producing a heavier load = there really are way more people playing now than there were just a couple months ago. That's good. And if they do data on this kind of thing maybe we'll be in for new server hardware or upgrades of some kind. I'm sure that kind of expense is something they still have to justify to NC, but having "lots more people but look they're having a hard time playing! let's fix that" would work I think.

My VG managed to clear the ITF we started up last night, but the last two maps were awful. Took way longer than it should have.
Technically, though, I was never booted off.

I keep mapservering every 5 seconds (literally), then move a few feet, to have it happen again! Anyone else with this issue?
