Where is the AE Hotspot on Villains side?
The hotspot is in Cap Au Diable, but if you've never played a villain before I suggest you actually play the character a bit first before you start AEing, especially this weekend.
Oh, for sure. Don't want to level too far ahead. Just wanted to find out for when I'm forced to AE. Thanks for your help
No problem, and if you enjoy your villain, you MUST must MUST do Vernon Von Grun's arc when you get there (45-50).
I've also really liked Diviner Maros (sp) in Sharkhead. (25-30) The Cult of the Shaper Arc is one of my favorites
Sometimes you get the bear; sometimes he get you, rips your head off, sucks out your eyes, pulls out your spleen, humps your leg and pees in your boots
Honestly, if this is your first villain, do as much of the higher-end (typically Grandville) content as you can. That stuff is ridiculously fun and just all-around awesome - the Westin Phipps stuff, for example, actually kind of makes you feel bad for what you've done. It's just all really, really cool.
Wild Streak - Lv. 50(+3) Beast Mastery/Sonic Resonance Mastermind, Amnesty - Lv. 50 Staff Fighting/Dark Armor Stalker
If it's your first villain, completely skip the AE. There's some of the best content in the game from 1-50.
Some of the Lowbie stuff is good too....
- Mr. Bocor (5-9)
- The Radio (10-14, Bocor intros)
- Peter Themari (10-14, sometimes gives Marshal Brass)
- Seer Marino (15-19, Soild arc on Ghost Widow's backstory)
If you're going to play a Villain for the first time, I would suggest that you play as a MM. They can level-up quite fast under the right conditions! Whatever your Villain's starting powersets are, I suggest that you at least do all the missions that your first contact on Mercy Island gives you, which should take you to at least Level 6. After that, use the Mercy Island AE Building for a bit to get your character fairly well up in levels.
Try my 3 MArcs: I.D.#67166:Protect the Artifacts!! I.D.#97724:Level-Up Time. I.D.#243803:Witch War! Salem vs. Croatoa!
You've gotten a lot of good advice on this, so I just wanted to also encourage you to check out redside before you delve into AE. If i was going to start a new character redside I would:
1) Grab the first easy level with the tutorial and get the badge
2) Finish Burk or Kalinda's mission. You should hit level 5. At this point you're done with Mercy, although Mongoose has some decent stories, you'll be happier heading to Port Oakes now.
3) Head to port oakes. Do a few papers to get Bocor and maybe Vendetti. Do a bank to get yourself the raptor pack. Bocor should give you Radio. Do that arc.
4) Look up how to trap ghosts in the fort. It might serve for a little entertainment.
5) Head to cap and work towards getting Marshall's contact.
At this point your leveling should be a little less hectic, so you can begin picking and choosing contacts. Find ones that interest you. Every contact suggested in this topic have really good stories. There are some lousy ones redside, but there are quite a few gems that you just have to play.
I will say that Television is much more fun if you've done Radio as a lowbie.
Also St. Martial has some fantastic stories. Johnny Sonata is a good one with a great twist ending. But the wailers in general are fun enemies. I always laugh when they say the "You suuuuuuuuuuuk!" line.
And the Invention Tutorial villain side is very silly. Don't miss it and read everything, it is really worth your time.
"Hmm, I guess I'm not as omniscient as I thought" -Gavin Runeblade.
I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.

Includes one of the best quotes in the game, I think.
Orc&Pie No.53230 There is an orc, and somehow, he got a pie. And you are hungry.

Negaduck: I see you found the crumb. I knew you'd never notice the huge flag.
Also, try to get the bling badge pre-25 for Doc Buzzsaw - a fun mad-scientist type contact.

Same way I always try to get the Nemesis Staff mission just so I can see "Word up, my homies, as it were."
It's just *golden* no matter how many times I see it.
Currently playing:
The Domestic: Broom/WP
Shadowhex: Dark Control/Dark Affinity
Defenestration Lass: Grav/Kin
"See, this is what happens when you have to shove all this stuff into your pockets: it's easy to misplace a suborbital warhead." -Arcanaville, on how crowded our power trays are getting lately
Other fun stuff: Technician Naylor, 35-39 .I can't think of a 20-30 contact I really love. Diviner Maros is good. Operative Vargas is possibly the most overlooked chunk of pure evil in the game.
And all the Strike Forces villainside are really excellent. There aren't a lot but they're good.
Mini-guides: Force Field Defenders, Blasters, Market Self-Defense, Frankenslotting.
So you think you're a hero, huh.
@Boltcutter in game.

Also, cue involuntary shudder at "...forced to AE."
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
I decided to start a new character on CoV for the first time and am having some trouble navigating. Where does everyone go for chatting and doing some AE missions. For example, on CoH, the hotspot seems to be in Atlas Park where all the AE missions are run and where most people are located. What is the CoV equivalent?
