I've just found something odd...

There is, or at least used to be, a floating recruitment poster in Mercy.

And I don't mean, it was floating off the wall. It was floating, face down, about 4 stories off the ground. You could even stand on it. Funny thing was, you couldn't see it from above. It was only visible from below.

That one has been there since Issue 11. It's of Cyrus Oliver Thompson (I think that's the name). There's a TF in Ouroboros explaining a bit about it, and that one in turn is based on a story in the CoH comic book.

Ah, thanks. Put that in the "stuff that's been around forever and never noticed until now" file then.

Every. Single. Time.

They all laughed at me when I said I wanted to be a comedian.
But I showed them, and nobody's laughing at me now!

From the CoH comic book (issue 6 of the Top Cow run - the whole story runs from issue 4 to 6):

White skin seems to be somewhat common.
Well, Longbow (and Freedom Corps) have strange-colored folks for the same reason player characters have odd colored skin, sometimes. Guess what kind of people are those Wardens and other dangerous Longbow Bosses? Hero-types. Of course, even some Freedom Corps vendors have green skin and hair.

Not really related to the SKy Skiff guys being all-white. That one is just a problem or a limitation imposed on the character design. Maybe too many colors were being used. It is genuinely "odd" while the purple-skinned Warden pounding you is intentional and easily explainable.

Maybe he was the cool one in the squad.

Only in the comic, which is minor and probably set in an alternate Paragon City, and nothing compared to what's in game. Hell, the instanced maps of Atlas Park when villains and heroes take on missions set in the present are missing WW and AE.

Dr. Todt's theme.

WW is there in the future though (the mission with shivans) but not the AE building.

Ha, looks like the devs still have to use the Invisible Magic Desk trick to build the maps!

Does anyone else remember the floating oil drum that used to hover on the other side of the wall next to the Wentworth's in Steel Canyon?

Yep.

And, as a bonus, I tried to click the "Exit" button on that first linked image.
