Life is one big practical joke that we as the human race have yet to see the punchline to. Once you work that out the rest is easy.

Kokotoni Wilf was the hidden gem of the C64!

To the OP - Nah I doubt I would use any of them, the games alerady far too esay for me and I'm already getting bored with the new easy mode. I miss the old days where it took me a year to get Starscreamer to 50 and finished, whereas one of my recent 50s took a matter of weeks with no PL at all (including full IO spec with some purples and NO farming). While the free enhance one I like in theory, still no.

And to the off topic tangent: Atari ST - that is all

Bah...you people and your Commadore 64's....

My Commadore was the Commadore plus/4, the business version of the Commadore 16.

Back then my dad use to get any old computers the local Council were throwing out for free (since they would just dump them in the skip out back).

Shame on me, when did I start forgetting I ever played Gauntlet! Feeling really nostalgic now *sigh*

And to go back to the topic, I too fell into the engulfing flames of cheating once... on my Super Nintendo.

I would make myself invincible or get illimited ammo while playing a game and complete it in no time, leaving me frustrated.

So no to all! The fun is also having to find a way to overcome challenges and to know that you have deserved every last bit of the ensuing victory or achievement

illimited eh? No kidding.

I actually kinda feel dirty for pointing that out though

They're now putting it all together.

Eight legs, one body, silk,

Bah... you people and your Plus 4s! We had the C=16, and could only DREAM of that exciting business software, and oodles of RAM!

Back to the topic, someone mentioned Ultima Online; that's a good illustration of the wider problems with cheating... although the original post is framed in terms that would only effect your own character and no others, UO was almost ruined by the general mindset that "Anything is game". Not only was the in game economy almost irreversibly destroyed by said duping, but it spawned a griefer culture which didn't care about the experience of others, only whether you got enjoyment from it. As a consequence, most MMOs since UO have harshly limited player freedom, and included ways to permanently drain out currency from the economy... If people could be trusted with powerful tools, there'd be no problem, but in general they clearly can't. Inventions for instance in CoX play the role of economic-brakes today, costing inf which vanishes from game, and locking them into your character (except perhaps during a Respec).

Oh, loads of people claiming they wouldn't! How fun! I'm hardly impressed, since I've seen a few do... things...

I on the other hand have no problem admitting it would be fun to try on a lvl 50 stalker and some other builds I'd normally never ever bother to get that far, not to mention I'd love to try on a perma-dom (another thing I can't be asked wasting time and inf on) etc, so yea, I'd deffo use any and all trickery to do that if it's not too boring.

I did try in the Rikti's and was bored beyond beliefe after a single run. If it had stayed in, yes I would've used it more to get some levels on alts described above. As an example, I'm still playing my two MMs that are xp pacted to two dominators, since I'd never ever be able to stand levelling a dominator to 50 although I do find them fun in a nerfed-troller way in teams.

I refuse to take the holier-than-whatever pledge since I've been there, done that. There's nothing new or surprising in store for me anywhere in the game no matter what set/powers I choose, there's no pleasure in levelling alts for me anymore. What's fun is playing eight man teams with my well equipped 50's and since noone's hurt if I cheat I see no moral or ethical dilemma in cheating. The only thing that really stoppes me is the boredom. Cheating may be faster, but it's still boring.

On the other hand, I like the 2 days/week I level up my fire/kin corr in a "regular" way although I wouldn't be sad if I had skipped the first 22 levels.

Then of course, I'm one of thoose just hanging around for the chatterboxes, old friends etc while waiting for a better game that I still haven't found, reluctant to let go of the alts I've wasted way too much time on. It used to be I was trying to find excuses to play the game, but lately I've noticed I'm finding excuses NOT to play the game.

...so if I found a great cheat, I'd use it, and if I was caught and severaly punished I might actually end up thanking that GM for making me leave the game and "get a life(tm)".

...I guess I just might've turned this thread into another epic, flamin' weekend thread?

Um, actually, yes they are!
When London's on a quest for... whatever... nothing will stop him from draggin' his swedish moaning viking (and the rest of the smurf posse) out of bed, forcing them to do horrible stuff like hero side shadow shard TFs and stuff. My poor PA b05n14n5 had to work over time.

You KNOW I'd never go blueside by free will. Atlas Park is way too scary for me. (Notice there's no smiley after that, seriously, AP is really, really scary)
