Tank/Brute Power set: Radiation base

I've had this idea ever since I saw Shivans in action, espiecally the summon version of them. They blast you but also pack power rad based melee attacks. Kinda like tanks and brutes.

So why not a rad based tank? We've seen different archtypes have similar powers to each other. Electric blasts, electric melee. Energy blasts, energy melee. Dark blasts, dark melee. So how about to go with the radiation blasts, radiation based melee class.

Radiation Assault:
An powerset based on powerful melee attacks that either do small debuffs to foes or slowly drain their life away, when they are struck by powerful punches and small blasts of radiation bursts out of the palm of their hands or fists. The ultimate attack would act like the power Fallout for Rad manipulation. A small nuke blast but cause serious damage instead with a larger area of effect radious.

Radioactive Aura
Powerful radioactive auras that focus on genetically enhancing the toughness of the user. Making him tougher and later give him enhance regenation and recovery. Some more potent then others to cause their foes radiation poisoning, which will cause harm or force their foes to be held for a short while. Even one aura that will quickly heal the user at the limited cost of recovery time.

So that's the idea, any thoughts?

I like the idea of this, would be lovely for custom groups and Shivvies already have some radiation-based melee attacks.

Well I guess a lot of people would love it if this idea became a reality. Not many heroes or villains are radioactive tanks in any comic. Hulk is the closest but more on super strength and invinciablity. :P Besides he gamma radiation.

Gamma is just the particles that are forming the radiation. They happen to be the ones that can go through pretty much anything and do stupid amounts of damage while they do so, well to biological stuff anyway, they;re generally what cause 'mutations'.

Actually gamma rays do less damage (ionisation) than beta and alpha (but alpha won't penetrate your skin).

Mutation through radioactive radiation, eh?

PRAF is right. Gamma is the most penetrating, but alpha and beta are more ionising.

If you happen to ingest alpha though...say through an open wound, the brute with these kind of powers could do some damage.

While true, there's no reaosn games HAVE to have completely fictional elements. The benefit to using gammma rays in powers, is people who DO understand the physics could easily relate to how awesome the set would be.

Hell, we could have gamma penetration as a corruptor set, and alpha as a melee set xD

If we get this I want FF scrappers...

(With a subtlety changed FF set of course.)

thinking about it i think a very long time ago i suggested a force feild set for brutes/stalkers/scrappers/tanks kinda like Cecilia Reyes
