What AT and Powerset can?

A fair few scrappers can
A fair few controllers can (Illusion/Rad can take on GMs)
Some defenders can
A fair few brutes can
A fair few Master Minds can
I would have thought a stalker could, not 100% sure on that

I would say SR stalker could take some AV's as long as defence is capped, just dont attempt ITF with the auto hit nictus 
The only concern I have with stalkers is the HP of them for how they'd be doing it, but I think it would be doable

There is no ANSWER. It is a thread for discussing what people believe the archetypes that can solo an AV are.
Bad Voodoo by @Beyond Reach. Arc ID #373659. Level 20-24. Mr. Bocor has fallen victim to a group of hooded vigilantes who have been plaguing Port Oakes, interfering with illegal operations and pacifying villain's powers. He demands that revenge is taken on these miscreants and his powers are returned! You look like just the villain for the job. Challenging.
Oh aside from stalkers my list was all of ATs I know that have done it, not that could do it. That would have made my post an answer I guess.
I think I saw a blaster with a capped ranged defence build once too, which in my mind would be a strong candidate for soloing AVs.
It could be possible with any AT as far as I know. I've only done it with 4. Scrapper, Controller, Mastermind and Brute

My Stalker (Dm/Nin/SM) can take on EBs but not sure about AVs.
As can my Scrapper (Kat/SR/BM) and Blaster (Elec*3).
I assume that a Fire/Kin can take on pretty much anything.
TBH though I would hazard that most ATs/Powersets could take on AVs solo if they were kitted up with Purples and such.
Anyway, why do you (the OP) ask?
As most of the older players will know me from Sirens call,before IO sets came out I had 2 Stalkers 1 was an EM/SR and the other 1 was EM/Regen and both have soloed EBs quite easily,but fell flat on my face when faced with an AV.Now I play Brutes exclusively,I have a FM/Shield Brute and now im working on a DM/WP brute the latter is lvl 34 and is going smoothly.The reason why I asked is that i have been away from the game for almost 2 years,and wanted to know if anything had changed in that time.
I know that almost all ATs considering its build and IOS etc,but what i want to know is which one has the smoothest ride,im guessing its Scrappers here.Oh and Thorny do you still have Thorny Devil Dom in your Arsenal still.

Any AT can solo any AV. Some ATs just need more time on their build than others 
Oh and illusion/rad . . . . . the "cant believe the rest of the team died against this AV!!!"

This i think, insperations are pretty much key to most succeses, my granite can take the damage for a very long time (well, psi exclused) but have to stack up a trashload of reds to keep pumping out enough damage.

Oh right, smoothly, Illusion/Rad doesn't break a sweat, mine doesn't have a single set in its build and can solo AVs.
Its more rewarding on my scrapper, and it was a real insp/drag other mobs around chore on my brute. With my MM I can tell within the first few seconds if its going to work. The AVs I struggled with on my MM I also had problems with as EBs

If your worried about too many deaths, pick another challenge.
It might be worth adding that a well pimped out SD/DM tank can solo AVs, works best with AVs located with lots of mobs to fuel AAO & Soul Drain.
It can be possbile with a blaster, but you have to stay alive and not get mez'd.
My personal list of AV solo'ers are:
DM/SR softcap, 285%regen & 2.4s hasten downtime.
Rad/Sonic defender, works best with insps & the odd temp pet for when they get a shot on you.
And a DM/SD waiting to be slotted.

Actually not so sure on that anymore, what with their damage buffs surely they'ld fair really well against certain AVs.
They could certainly survive the AVs onslaught, the only problem would be the damage which COULD be solved.

Hello again everyone,with PVP now officially dead on both servers,the once busy Sirens Call,now dead,Warburg a ghost town,and RV a place where all the farmers can farm in peace.The game that had a PVP system second to none.It was fast paced Dynamic and you had to work for your kills,some ATs more than others,but everyone enjoyed the PVP that was created by it.
Now we have the new system,where supposedidly everyone was equal.I returned to the game for the PVP content to find that my old EM/SR stalker was nerfed into oblivion.But heres a hint to the Devs bring back the old system and the servers will once again fill up.Stick with this system and the population will continue to shrink.This is a PVE game now,as noone plays the pvp content anymore.
So that brings me nicely onto the main subject at large,which AT and powersets can take on todays AVs, solo?
