Sry to interrupt Devans, but you may have come in a little late to this discussion to understand what's going on.
A lot of the people leaving are veteran players, players who have supported the dev team through the hardest phases of this games life for the last 5 years, including a period where the entire dev team consisted of 15 people.
Last year we were promised that the game would be moving quickly forwards to catch up with the competition, we were told that the issue that many of them had been waiting for to take the story along would be I15, this promise has hardly been lived up too, and on the test server during the devs Q and A session yesterday not a lot was said to make these people feel like sticking around.
This has led to the situation we have today, a lot of us leaving are probably leaving from burnout more than despair, we've been around the block, done everything we'd want to ingame, and what's been presented in the new issue isn't enough to keep our interest and we're fed up of hearing SOON whenever we ask what's coming.
Some of us will play CO, a few have played the Beta, but most of have said that we may return in the future, and most of us probably will return. But for now, there's nothing left in Paragon City and the Rogue Isles for us.

Maybe pushing the Issue content back an Issue because of the MA might have something to do with that?

I suspect that a lot of other "veterans" have reached this point a few times over the years and have left, come back, left again and come back again several times over, and with no dramatic "look! I'm a veteran and I'm leaving!" posts.
Everyone gets bored sooner or later, especially "veterans" who have played for years. Take a break and come back if you feel like it or don't if you don't. Why does it have to be such a big issue?

Before they moved MA back they said I14 was the big story issue, no dice GG, you knew that before you even typed it.

As I explained, it's not so much that people are leaving, it's more who is leaving. Most the people leaving have only left before due to outside circumstances like lack of money or family commitments.
And then we had people hurling abuse because of the fact these people said they were leaving. But I'm going to leave that at that and say no more.

I'm only a 6month vet, so i can understand you 42monthers getting bored, but when you anounce on the bussiest part of the forum your leaving to get attention/alot of people saying goodbye, its just not fair.
Anynew members will just see people leaving, not getting the full exsperiance the game has to offer, an just going off to another MMO.
If your bored fine, jus coat coat the forums with depressive stories on how [censored] the devs are an have been.
They'll sort the errors out, an many will return.
I've read that on CO you can't have your own name, others can steal it an impersonate you or whatever. Which sucks, an means we will see loads of heroes called wonder women or whatever, wheres the indiviuality whats the point in the cjarachter customisation if your name can be copied :S
COH is awesome it has faults, but i think CO will help people realise how great the game is. It seems players leave due to being bored of 5 years of paragon, not because the games pants.
Anyway im not ranting just wanted to say that everyone sjhould cheers up an enjoy there final days opf there current membership.
