This game right for me?
I think you get more bored of the repeatingness. 1 power per 2 lvls aint that much to look out for (specialy if are pool powers, or needed ones), and from there they only get stronger and better.
If you happen to have villains also, try a MM. From 1 upto 32 they get a nice variaty of pets, extra powers and more powers to their pet, numbers of pets increase, its like you have to keep going.
Other then that perhaps a illusion troller, or maybe a dual blade scrapper (due the increasing combos).
But, do you solo alot? (or forced to), that also can slow you down really alot.

I do have villians, my highest villian was like level5 ^^ but yeah ill give them ago ty
Also for some reason i have like "Never"? soloed tbh, i like group play
OO sorry for double post but are you saying you level faster solo?
Usually my chars tend to get more fun past 20, specially 22 when you get access to the SO enhancements.
One part could be that as a new player, you might've made some poor power choises, which could lead to a character becoming unfun.
Or perhaps you just picked powersets which don't mesh well or aren't as satisfying for you. Can't speak for you, but for me i had some pretty nice character concepts with certain powers and i just never couldn't get into those powers. I personally hate ice blast for blaster, and dark melee for scrappers for example.
Even two chars of same archtype can be diffrent. I do not play my Assault Rifle / Energy blaster the same as my Fire / Fire Blaster.
Also something for me which made chars more fun, is that once i got some sets i have fun with, is to create a character with a good concept that suits powers and a fitting name.
I personally wouldn't and couldn't make a char, click random on costume and name myself "lol Hero 123". Not sayign you did, but finding a good concept and name is a pretty big step into making the character fun.
Ideally would be making something that you can associate with, a char that would be you.
I have that with Sapphic Neko, she's pretty much my signature character. She's the most fun to play and i've put the most effort into her. And i've come to like her so much she actually exsists in three diffrent incarnations.

In groups a defender or a controller is interesting too. You can change from attacker to defender (buff or heal), as troller you also get a pet and they gain a great variety of powers.
A blaster and scrapper are quite straight forward. U target, you spam powers, next mob. For most quite enjoyable sets to play.
The blaster, wich set was it?
As for your question, mostly in groups you go quite faster. Only later some classes get quite strong they can solo faster, provided you play on a tougher lvl then the group is.
And like Neko say, make a connection with your character. The reason you pick the sets, the reason you look like that.

My Blaster is a Ice/Ice named Mr.Frosty :P But, im going to give villians ago and see what its like, ty all for your help! (Also people keep posting!)
For me playing in groups is much more fun on a Defender or Tank than anything else, also playing my defender to 50 taught me so much about other peoples contributions to the team, but I'd guess if I was one of the more frantic spam focussed sets then it wouldn't.
Mine was a Rad defender but I'd recommend a Dark Miasma defender, it has good powers coming at good times, it contributes well to teams and lets you see what other members are doing

They're now putting it all together.

See, I have the same problem, many of my "alts" (I consider my first lvl 50 toon my main, although I don't play him much) I stop playing at level 20-25ish because I got so bored with them in the first 20 levels and with no noticeable powers in the 14-20 range(the swift, health, stamina picks...while necessary for me are not very fun). When I finally get to twenty two and I have to pick another power I can't be bothered anymore...*sigh*

Ice/Ice is a combo that I find more of a mix of Blaster and Controller. It isn't a combination that I would recommend for a novice player.
Try another Blaster combo like Fire/Fire or Elec/Elec, for massive damage. You will attract the mobs attention though, so be warned
Blapping is also a good way to go. Try taking /EM as a secondary, perhaps with Sonic or Elec as a primary. You can get close up and involved in the melee when you feel like it and deal very high single target damage.
The Blaster combinations all have their own (different) strengths. Experiment and find one that suits you.

lol Elec + high ST damage in same sentence. Elec is the most controllery primary imo, and it lacks the Blazesque power that makes a real ST bashing blast primary. Look for the massive ||> in the icon and you have yourself a winner

I think I see the confusion here. I'm talking about Energy Manipulation as a secondary (/EM).
I have Elec/Elec and Energy/Energy amongst other level 50 Blasters, so I do agree with you to a point. I do find Ice/Ice to be the most effective as a controlling type Blaster though.
That could just be down to playstyle however .. YMMV.

If you want to really feel like a blaster, bringing down the pain and taking some serious beatings. Go Fire/Fire. You can dish out a huge amount of damage, although you will take some serious damage to. As for scrappers try something with regeneration as a secondary, to me, they are the easiest to play and can solo or team very well.
One other thing I will mention is get in a good supergroup, a nice active one with people to team with. Teaming with the same group of people lets you get to know what they are like and how they play. Which makes taking down enemies quicker and missions become easier and you can ramp up the difficulty and that's when you realise that the 20s are long gone and here comes the 40s.
It took me over a year to hit 50 on my first character, and it wasn't the character I started playing with first. One of the great things about all those slots is that you can build loads of characters and see what you like.

I have to agree with this. A Fire/Fire Blaster is a lot of fun to play and with the sheer amount of damage it brings, it's very team friendly - especially on large mobs.
Out of all the characters that I have my Fire/Fire Blaster has been my main 'go to' character for a couple of years now.

I guess the answer depends on exactly why you're bored.
As Sinergy_X said, blaster and scrapper are both a pretty 'direct' play style. Maybe you'd have more fun with a defender or a controller, or a tank, where you have to apply more situational awareness with buffing/debuffing, control or aggro management? I can't really help with redside ATs, but MM would give you a whole teams of pets to direct.
If you generally play in large groups, you might try solo or duo. Because you can't rely on the other ATs being around to do their thing, you have to be a bit more cautious and creative, using your control powers as a blaster, f'rex.
Finally, I'd say that generally I've enjoyed my characters more when they get into their 20s. Endurance problems ease with Stamina, and you get more power options. And they get more fun again in their 30s.

12 to 20 can be a little on the not fun side if you go the route most people do of travel powers/ fitness. Thats 5 powers that feel like you aren't getting anywhere, though the first time i got fly was awesome.
Up to 20 can be hard anyway, when you get to 22 and can use SO's there is a quantum shift in fun levels as the damage, endurance and healing is much better. you suddenly stop needing to rest after every mob.
To be honest I'm surprised you have taken so long to get to level 20 if you are always teamed. I solo a lot and can still get a level a day till the 30s.
Up to level 20 is just a route to the fun, as someone said above, its not until 22 the fun really starts and you begin to feel more powerful (ingame that is). I think you need to hang in some more, it's really not that hard to level anymore...
Hello,
I have a level 23 blaster that a leveled ages ago, it seemed like it took months to level to that level, and i enjoyed it! But i get bored off that "class" (if you call it that) by level 20ish, i made a scrapper to see if it would be different - got to 20... bored again! I love the game and the gameplay i just get bored off my class, is this a game that is right for me or should i keep looking to find the right class for me?
