Before I get to the main point of your post, question:
Should we respec other players and respect our characters?

I completely agree. It is what put me off PvP. To many sore losers and 'ha ha I beat your @55 you suck' comments get thrown about.
I think that the smack talk in RV isn't as bad as it used to be. People now blame i13 instead of each other xD
But I empathize with those who get frustrated at constant killings.. I suffer from this on my Empath (aka. PbAoe AgroMap) lol

a little addition to my post, Been in rv all night were there was 25 peeps for about 5 hours what a blast and not one person used insults all night we all had a awesome time killing each other and was a lot of respect going around, you all know who you were, thanks again guys for a great night of balls on fire PVP best night since I13

P H O E N I X and his apparent aoe pvp taunt was easily the highlight of my afternoon, most fun ive had on my spines toon since i bothered to try pvp with her again.

I'm not finding that. Honestly I am finding it more and more demoralizing day by day. Seeing that tiny amount of cookie cutter builds every day is just depressing.
Anyone agree that villains seem to be 85% widows/forts now? Followed by the ubiquitous sharkers (the AT formerly known as stalkers). Just spamming you with those damned sharks.
I think I am close to just calling it a day on pvp. There are great people still playing but I refuse to roll an overpowered flavour of the month just to compete.
Seems like if this trend continues unchecked by the devs it wont be long before all pvp is just widows/forts versus blasters.
I disagree Charnell, the last 2 nights have seem alot of diversity in builds and sets being used in my oppinion.
Sharks are a little to common at the moment, but generally im starting to feel alot of the i13 changes were more productive than i first gave them credit for.

aye ur not wrong for me charnell, forts, stalkers with sharks and SS brutes is all i seem to see i agree, for heroes, i see nothin but PFF blasters, SS Tanks and thats about it lol. last few nites aint been bad but there's less sets more unpopular than ever now thanks to castle, my acc runs out on the 18th i think i wont be resubbin, i only subbed agen to get some stuff back frm a m8, but dnt think il b stayin.

I went in RV last night and there were a lot of ppl. There was one MM and hordes of widows/forts/sharkers.
Non OP FOTM builds just seem to be cannon fodder imo.
One thing I did enjoy seeing last night in RV though was a duel between a Ill/FF Troller and a Eleci/SS Brute.
Fair one the Eleci Brute won but the duel lasted for about 15mins and for most of the fight the Brute was just standing there like a lost child taking 'Big Licks' as he couldnt even see the Troller with his Superior Invis. Funniest thing I've seen in ages.

from a villian point of veiw all we see is ss/ice tanks(plus shotas fire tank still ss)and blasters living in bubbles waiting to snipe your last 3 points of health so i have to also agree with charnell,on the same point if a corr turns up there either killed in 3 hits by ss attacks of sniped to death, there realy is no point in trying anything that doesnt have armour or some sort of defence powers.

Although there has been a lack of variation to some degree at least PvP has been picking up in RV which is great.
I think there a couple of reasons why there seems to be lack of variation.
A lot of the PvP'ers showing up don't belong to the same supergroup meaning they are less organised/prepared. These teams provided more opportunities for variation due to relying on more support based toons.
Currently teams are mostly made on the fly and with what ever people brought into the zone. I know my thermal on its own won't be able to do much let alone last more than 15 seconds if it is busy. Repeatedly getting destroyed isn't too fun so I would bring something more suitable/survivable on its own. Thus we are seeing more of the same FOTMs showing up as at least they have a chance to do something other than click on rez at hospital.
I can't see the situation changing drastically until further changes to PvP are made.

I think we'll see some more tweaks in I14
Especially as I14 content wise seems to be just the MA, it means Castle would have had a lot of free time to study the I13 feedback and refine the changes.

I tend not to give people stick anymore, just laugh at them and target them and kick their faces in for giving it me.
Dont get me wrong I have been a Pillbox farmer in the past to get me a few lvls now and then when its quiet. But despite me crying "please stop im farming" it hasnt stopped a stalker beating the c**p out of me with their AS. So I've kind of took it on the chin and done the same back at the villains farming pillboxes. And if they start giving me stick then im sure another Eagles Claw in the face wont hurt, just like another AS didnt hurt me.

recently in RV i have noticed all the insults and abuse that players are launching at others on broadcast,i know this subject has bin posted about loads of times but i still need to say this, !st things 1st the pvp zones have no rules your in there to KILL other players nothing else, so then why do peeps start throwing insults when they get killed why is it that peeps cant just respect other players after all we alll have something in common PVP and COH if you get killed by the same player over and over what makes you think that insulting them is gona make that stop, personly when someone insults me i TARGET THEM THEM TILL THEY LEAVE im there to show my shiz to all that wanna challenge it if you beat me constantly i understand that i got a hole in my shiz and try to work out how to fix it insulting the other player wont fix my own shortcomings.
so im asking real nice if peeps can please lay of the insults its dont solve anything.
1 other thing if your farming the juicy goldmine that is the pillboxes dont expect me to leave you alone either its a pvp zone not a load my inf zone, there are no rules in the zones that means you enter and your fair game.
