People will play with the shiny's no matter what. What DOES matter is, after the shine has worn off, are you left holding a brown whiffy thing? CoH, at least, manages to still hold some lustre, even after 4 years (for me).

I think people are missing some points here.
Yes it is free, and they don't have to give us anything, and yes it may suit some players.
But look at it from another view...why should veteran players have essentially worse rewards than the newer players?'
The problem is these 57 monthers believe that the devs don't care about them. At least, the devs should put some effort for the 57 monthers, shouldn't they?
Am i (and psy) the only ones who actually look forward to this vet reward?
The only reward which i would deem total rubbish is the 45 month one.

I want to see the magic pack before I answer that cause I may need more than 5 costumes on one of my characters if they bring in something I like so buying one in and out will use up my tokens fast.

being narked. Personally I'm happy with whatever they give me but, if there's one thing I've learned from the forums, ymmv!

As they keep adding more and more costume parts with each Issue, as well as the booster packs, do you think it might be a good idea to add a new costume slot at level 10?

Actually cant see a reason why I wouldn't want that. Yes please, more costume slots.
I do actually have a level 50 with only one costume slot cause there's no reason she'd ever look different (its not clothing, its what she is) but the majority of mine use all 5
