Woah.... I now have total respect for people who draw ringmail armor (assuming that they, like me, are not using some kind of brush for it)
For practice (on hair, teeth, shading aswell as metal) I'm working on a (non-CoH related) portrait of a character that wears ringmail.
Luckily I chose a reference in which most of the ringmail is hidden, but there's still ringmail to be painted.
Like I said, I have a reference...but it's too blurry to figure the rings out exactly, aspecially when there's a bunch together.
Personally I'm amazed I got this far! Now fingers are cramped up *giggles*, so I'll work on it some more tomorrow. It's really good practice and the portrait is coming along quite nice, I think. Oh well.. you'll see it on DA once it's finished
I just wanted to share the first ringmail armor I ever painted.

In the mean time I finished it! And I managed to not break my fingers *giggles*.

As for more CoX related art... just worked some more on Saira again.
Now it's time for pizza and some Harry Potter (...again...)! *giggles*

Thanks!
But...eh... Neko... stop licking her lips... I keep having to put new lipstick on her!
Anyways... I call it now FINISHED!
Finished the rest of the drawing... went tweaking with the brightness, hue and contrast a little...and finally decided that this was it.
Unfortunately backgrounds are still not for me...so the wooden thingy and the glass is all I could do *giggles*
Hope you like it.

Even though the preview I'm about to let you have a peek at isn't CoH related (also, it's not finished just yet)... I just wanna say...
I wish I could paint like this when not having a photo for a reference!!
But this ís good practice
That said... bedtime for me!
Sweet dreams!

OMG how did I miss this?! I loved Merlin!! Those two characters have such great chemistry, and you really captured their expressions!
Saira looks so poised and elegant. The way you shaded the folds of her dress is so realistic, I feel like I could reach out and touch the red satin! (I'm a sucker for soft fabric, especially when I shop.) Looking forward to seeing more of Xllusya.
Thanks Shakiya!
I love the show too! Eventhough the graphics are not what we are used to in films (duh (and actually I really don't mind, but I know many do)... the characters and the scripts more than make up for it! I'm totally addicted!
A little while back I finished Arthur as a practice piece, but I wanted to add Merlin... and maybe.. if I feel adventurous I'll add a selfpainted background (it would be my first) aswell.
But.. wait... "loved"? We're in the middle of season 4. It's not over!
Hehe, I even had to "downdraw" Saira's dress to make it look painted more *giggles*.
Xllusya really is a challenge to colour, with all that lighteffect and her having white colours all around 'n stuff *nods*.
I can't wait to have it finished aswell!
*goes to work on Merlin's jacket*

Lol! No idea where that H came from! Sorry about that *giggles*
Yeah, season 4 already! You should find the time. It's way too much fun to miss!
The graphics are getting better, now they have more money to spend on it, but now it appears they tend to make mistakes with the horses *giggles*, but the horsestunts are real. So that makes up for the horseswitchmistakes .
Anyway... Painting of Arthur and Merlin now finished!
*cheers happily and goes to ponder on a suitable possible background*
Oh, don't worry CR, Xllusya is still being worked on aswell!

Didn't care much for the show, but that's really well done ^_^
Cheers Sensei!
Yesterday I made a small start on the Cat People project . As I want to take as little references for poses from the net as possible.. I now have a copy of DAZ Studio 4 aswell and started to try and let Michael and Victoria pose for me *giggles*.
It's quite like playing with dolls... but digitally *laughs*.
Anyway. First two poses have been set... atleast 10 to go!
Don't worry, I won't be making 3d art with 'm... as I have no clue on how to make the clothing work properly...or the hair... or backgrounds/surrounding....though I did finally figure out how to create facial expressions *cheers*. It's rather fun truth be told.
But I will just use 'm as a reference for drawing. Instead of looking at a wooden stickpuppet that will only bend sofar hehee.
That's the plan.*nods*
Sorry, no previews this time

**Breaks in new and improved Orange smiley (thanks to DD for coloring it!)**
Okay, apparantly I'm missing something..but I have had more feedback saying Mike looks quite feminine....sooooo I took another look...still didn't see it though, since I didn't know what to do I asked a friend for feedback (she's an artist herself ) and she mentioned that maybe the cheekbones could be less soft.
So... does this help then?
