Ah, welcome! Glad you enjoyed yourself. You didn't get one of the shiny 2000 CoV boxes did you? Were you swept along in a wave of euphoria amongst the giddy fans wanting to get their characters drawn? T'is quite a sight.

One thousand Shillings to Kat Nicholson for stepping in for Mike (who was MIA on Saturday). Lovely to meet GR too, plenty of banter to be had. Good event all around. There may have been no Chris (a.k.a TaskMaster Aero_), or Rockjaw, but GR filled his shoes excellently!

I blame Alex for 'forgetting' the PPD codes. The man should be taken out the back and shot.

Anyway, I'll have them sent out ASAP - hopefully tomorrow. We've just got back to the office now. Was great chatting with those of you who came along, especially on Saturday - you all kept us entertained wonderfully, and out minds off the gap where Mike was supposed to be sitting. Unfortunately Neil Edwards had to pull out for Sunday as well, so Kat and Jason between them were filling the shoes of what had originally been planned to be four people, not two. Thanks also to our regular caterer , who arrived with cake and party hats on Sunday to help celebrate Jason's birthday.

Kat and Jason both did an absolutely amazing job on the two days. Between them they managed to get through:

* 5 Sketch Cards
* 20 single character A4 Sketches
* 4 two character A4 Sketches
* 14 single character Colours
* 2 two character Colours

Wow, didn't know Neil had pulled out too; Kat and Jason deserve medals for their stamina Twas one hell of a lot of work getting through all the requests and they both did a sterling job.

I enjoyed myself tremendously, was good to chat to peeps face to face rather than through chat channels (and from one of the many layers of Onion)...which reminds me: gotta set up a Hess Tf on that server.

Pity I could only make the one day but at the end of Saturday I was destitute....and I so wanted to meet The Fonze...

Well, the NEC, for us, was the first chance for people from our SG to cross the country and meet in a central(ish) location.

Between 10am (when I first got in and submitted pictures for Mr Chug and Winter Flare to be sketched) and 11.30am, we trickled in, and met. Breakfast was had over an in-depth chat about the Avengers (the comic, not the TV show), and once all five of us were together, we worked our way around the memorabilia event, looking at the various stalls and chatting all the while, about everything under the sun! Memorable moments (for me, at least) include:

1 – Seeing Kat Nicholsan sketch and then digitally colour Winter Flare and Mr Chug together
2 - Discovering Grover’s hands in a glass frame (Grover, from Sesame Street)
3 - Hearing the crazy announcements as a lost child and his mother traded messages via the Lost & Found speaker – which included a VERY stern instruction to ‘go back to the toilet / latrine where he was meant to be’
4 – Reading the crazy and often hilarious T-Shirts that were on sale, and planning to buy them in the near future

Once we had traversed the many aisles of the event, we headed over to Wetherspoon’s for a nice light lunch, where we sat and discussed forthcoming issues, PVP, bases, Task Forces, and the Super Group as a whole. It was amazing that we’d put off talking about City of Heroes all the way until lunchtime, but there was just so much to talk about to begin with!

Thanks to NCSoft for being there, of course. We could've met anywhere, at anytime - but you were there with your freebie-ness and friendly-faces to make it all the better!

You're welcome, mate! I thought it went down rather well consider it got dropped on the way into the event. I think I got away with it saying "Hapli Bifhqay" in smooshed icing instead of the proper salutation.

Another wonderful weekend at the NEC - a big "thank you" to all the NCSOFT guys for the hard work of making this happen!

And Kat & Jason were truly amazing, rarely pausing for a drink, sandwich or just to breathe - Kat literally drew until her fingers bled. O.o
I got two wonderful coloured sketches done and I am well pleased with them.

Hoping for another weekend with the NCSOFT crowd, DTWT and hopefully GhostWidow and Miss Liberty!

I used my PPD code about 10.30 today, any idea how long it will be till I can use it in game? or am I looking in the right costume options?

The PPD code outfit is not an Icon cossie option. It should be available as a toggle to be dropped into your tray from your powers list.

You have to remember that it isn't a 'costume' - it is a 'costume power', much like those obtained at halloween, but permanent.

In your power list, you'll find the power. It turns on/off in a toggle fashion. It will replace your avatar with the PPD officer / hardsuit avatar, regardless of height or gender.

A few of my SG assigned the 'PPD Deputy Badge', donned our new hardsuits, and laid down the law in RV last night. Poor, poor arachnos

I'm also waiting for the PPD code to appear.. and my name was kinda high on the list.. bring possibly one of the first group of CoH players to arrive and bug them on the saturday...

*waves* hi yes, that was me and Irric helping the NCSoft guys locate and troubleshoot problems by asking them to do stuff and then it all breaking!

Would like to say it was nice to meet people though, chatted with some other players and that, I'd mention who but I'm terrible with names and such. massive thanks to the NCSoft people for dealing with the problems they had at the start so well, and esp to Kat who sketched, provided witty commentary and was overall a bundle of energy the whole time we were there!

Yeah any further news on the PPD codes....I'm currently languishing in birthday joy so haven't had chance to check, but it wasn't there when I checked last.
