Best PvP villain?

Just out of curiosity and to see what debate ensues, but what do ppl consider to be the villains for pvp in it's various guises? I.e, which would be your first choice villain that you would play for team, arena, duel or zonal pvp?

@Jaw Dropper - Toons of all levels so drop me a line!

For team and arena team a cominbation of the following would be my pick:
<ul type="square">[*]Thermal Corruptors - Bread and butter villain support great shields, devastating debuffs, some slow resistance, grantable mez protection, heals, forge. Best with sonic/* for epic res debuffs, ice/*, fire/* and rad/* can be quiety effective.[*]Kinetic Corruptors - Speed boost and IR for nice unsuppressed movement, slows, end drain, siphon power and fulcrum shift for great damage. With acrobatic changes even more important with ID. Best with Ice primary as with stacked siphon speed you can get amazing DPS, fire/* can also work but needs second kin otherwise you will never have any of the blue stuff. Sonic/* can also be very nice but one of the great things about /kin corruptors is the way you can really chain together short activating attacks and sonic unfortunately has long animation.[*]Sonic Corruptors - Cage and grantable perception and fast recharging res debuff, as well as shields and mez protection. Pair with sonic/*, ice/*, fire/*, or rad/* (-def is nice when trying to cage forted blasters. Also cage is probably the best counter for psy blasters for corruptor heavy teams.[*]Cold Corruptors - Frostwork, amazing for toons without IOs/Accolades, some nice defence shields but kinda need to be stacked to do much good, amazing slows, resistance debuffs and with webnade a great target caller. Personally I think cold is a nice toon to have but rather have thermals and kins first. Sonic/* and Ice.* the best for obvious synergy (more -res and slows respectively).[*]Dominators - when perma-doms are buffed they become the villain equivalent of blasters but without support they only really shine in duels. Ice/*, Mind/*, */Fire, */Ice are probably the pick with */Elec being a nice melee dom for i12.[*]Brutes - EM/* brutes are a decent all round pvp toon 32+ with taunt can be a very nice foil for a corruptor heavy team. Especially when a target has heavy -resistance a buffed em/fire uses ET with BU and FE they certainly feel it. With psy blasters and fury buff they become more important - ss/wp for example would be a very nice taunt bot.[/list]Those are my personal feeling with regards to higher level villain team mechanics, Storm Corruptors may be added to the list too with i12.

For duels cold corruptors, and perma doms are probably the pick, not that a lot of dueling happens.

^ This fully covers it as far as arena goes.

For zonal.Well this kinda depends really. For team zonal corruptors especially thermal are awsome.Kin/ice in the right hands can demolish people (Phil ftw tbh).Solo well a stalker i guess but be prepared to get cremated a lot.Dominators buffed in zonal rock as well.

solo - em stalker

teamed up - corrupters

Most dangerous - permadoms (can also be weakest)

What and why would be your choice for a Stalker secondary? I see pretty much only EM around in zones, but the secondaries vary, with the notable exception of DA and EA (which are nowhere to be seen).

Willpower is best by a long way

Willpower or regen, id say both is about just as good in my opinion. Willpower for res to most things, gets a nice max hp and a good heal, regen has 2 heals (DP ,reconstruction) and IH. And with IO´s reach nice high HP

I find regen way more survivable in a zone, but willpower for the repel resist alone is great, dont know how much issue 12 will change this with the repel resist mag increased in breakfree's.

Wp is overrated, the t9 may as well not exist in pvp as you get considerably less benefit from it, yes the mez protection is good but not that good. Those who go lol @ defence dont know the joys of running perma 70% defence ranged and melee, only SS tanks with FA or blasters using pb + aim and BU really ever hit my stalker and when i see them flashing I move out.

WP is ok but real defence builds just got better as tohit is getting clamped in i12

Its your fault
Its your computers fault
Its your ISPs fault

Willpower has complete mez protection, +perception, perma +hp, uninteruptable self heal which for me anyway is all I really want on a stalker . . maybe "by a long way" wasnt a smart thing to say

By calling the mez protection good but not that good i was refering to WP as a whole and the complete mez doesnt mitigate the downside of WP which IMO is more considerable than ninj. Stalkers get such little benefits from res sets and operate on about 54% effeciency as a brute will, as WP is a mix of res and def (no real regen in stalkers WP) they are hampered by the defence being so low it is totally useless pvp so we are down to just the res as mitigation and its not great.

Of course you can just smack and run, my ea stalkers didnt take anything but hide and entropy from the secondary and did just fine with that
