There is always PvP going on Union-side- It is very strong, All this thread shows is a predictable result to a one-sided fight.
Hardly any of Union's regular PvP champions were in attendance.... why?, - Well.. you'll have to ask them I'm afraid. I did my best to get them to the arena on the night - I guess they were absent from the game/forums the last couple of nights or just were not interested.
Lets try again only this time have a longer recruiting phase and post up on the forums and on channels.

Unfortunately experience has shown that longer recruiting phase doesnt necessarily work. People will forget or cant be bothered to wait too long.
Lets make it three or more 4v4 teams fighting at the same time. Lets measure the width of PVP provess of the servers. Dont put everybody on the same map.

Admitted you did have dissadvantages. First of all your best player wasn't playing (extremus) and you had ks as empath :P. Anyways we lost globey with 6 mins left so it was 4 vs 5
Mesmer, nightbringer and freon were playing, I don't know if you consider DB as one of the pd's
I'd just like to say thanks to those that turned up they were fun matches to watch, and was generally done in good spirits. It was interesting to see how pvp goes down without "the usual suspects", or atleast the usual suspects using a different toon (you know who you are hehe)
Gratz to defiants teams for being stronger on the night, gratz to unions team for taking defeat so well.
I look forward to future events.

I also wasn't aware Mesmer was playing.
Monday Night PvP (organised by Knight Stalker) on Union had a better turnout than Defiant vs Union.
I would say a rematch is required here

It was only Mesmer, Night & Freon from the PD's. Vindicate sure does a lot of talking, but when it came time to put their money where their big mouths are, they didn't show up.

This threads a bit of a suprise really.
The evening was cool, everyone was chatting ok, there were some fights . Defiants team won them. Was good fun, and that was all.
Now why has it come to some pointless sour grapes squabble claiming otherwise and some people who were there are now claiming they weren't even trying 
. Certainly didn't come across that way. Or, that certain people or players weren't there? And why do they have something to say about it not being there at all? Was under the impression some people didn't fight because dinner was on the table...
Wasn't about fighting any certain team from any server either. So what if there were no "major" players from anywhere? Wasn't about them anyway. Could have come too.
Get it straight. It wasn't a 5 v 5, it wasn't any one SG vs another, or certain people vs others, it was a bunch of people from one server and a bunch from another. One bunch lost. And anyone could have come if they wanted.
Don't get where the hastle is coming from. It doesn't reflect the way it went at all. And a a bit [censored] on those that put time in or waited around on people apparently coming... or not.

The hassle comes from certain union people being too touchy, cause apparently they think they equal the server..
I thank my opponents from thursday, you fought well despite the odds. I didn't really know the players for the most part. Defiant had Shoryu steve, me and SinghMC and unfortunately I can't remember the rest but everybody played well.
Personally I would rather not fight such fights and didnt have any fun on thursday. It all just reinforces my opinion that team fights are even more unbalanced than 1v1 fights, in fact balanced teamfights are extremely rare in my books. I wouldnt mind if it was all about player skill but it isnt. One of the reasons I have turned my back on the pvp. Especially after the late and upcoming blaster changes.
oh 5 vs 5 sounds nice, altho I wouldn't want to miss out a chance on fight more, let us make a time for this shall we
