Not at home so can't check ATM, but if your old Defiance bar isn't there on test then the changes are up.

Stacking ranged damage attacks should show you the most difference. It'll be equivilant to about a 40-50% +damage buff on live's numbers after you attack a few times (ranged damage buff of +25%ish plus "Fury").

Oh, and the fire-when-mezzed thingy...

I fail to see how this is supposed to increase blaster performance in live. Since the buff is not enough to particularly change the amount of attacks needed to kill mobs from before, and blaster defense is unaffected, I simple fail to see how this improves things.

And I thought the fire when mezzed-thingy, as you put it, was supposed to be pvp addition since you arent going to drop dark ring mistresses etc with some couple paltry 1/2 tier ranged attacks! (you can only fire couple before you are dead anyway) Just plain stupid the whole issue.

Blasters apparently needed a change in PvE, so Blasters were changed.
PvE is the priority for the devs, since the vast majority of the game is in PvE.

PvP changes can occur due to bleed-through from PvE changes, rather than the other way around... as was pointed out earlier in the thread, few if any PvE changes have occured due to imbalances in PvP.

My point is that nobodys gonna solve problems CORRECTLY without looking at the big picture. Otherwise only new problems will be created. I am reminded of an old donald duck comic where two people started to trim the garden fence and started from opposite ends. When they met at the middle they found out that they had cut it different heights. Then they tried again and again until the fence was ground-level. (only then was it all the same height)

ps. And since PVP constitutes of basically 99% of the little COH play I have left, I sure as hell am concerned about it.

Besides, correct me if im wrong but the base damage isnt enhanced correctly either. +12,5% to base damage of 50 is 50*1.125 = 56,25, enhanced 100% (doubled) by enhancements should be 112,5, not 125, right?

Or I dont understand what Mael is after at all.

Amended the typo, apologies.

It was on that last set of calculations with 15% "unresisted" damage. I was adding 15% (unresisted) of the total damage without only multiplying by 85% (resisted damage).

Interestingly, with the proper numbers versus 75% (capped) resists the New defiance (plus about 20% buff from "Blaster Fury" with 15% unresisted damage) would be exactly as damaging as it is now on live.

12,5% of 50 is 6,25
50+6,25= 56,25
56,25 x2 = 112,5

What i'm doing wrong here:
50 + (50 * 12,5%) = 50 + 6.25 = 56.25
56.25 + (56.25 * 100%) = 112.50



In % based:
100% + (100% * 100%) = 200%
12.5% + (12,5% * 100%) = 25%
50 * 225% = 112.50

I had my burst from 20dmg eventualy up to 39dmg on a rikti boss while mezzed, i'm happy

I can tell there's a slight buff to ranged damage (20 more hitpoints on fireblast, yay), but the Fury thing IMO is underwhelming to say the least.

Also are you sure we should be getting a 25% damage buff enhanced? Doesn't seem like it on test right now. More like 12.5% enhanced.
