So I'm thinking of respeccing my spines/SR for PvP and this is the build I've come to. If there's anything you think needs to be changed feel free to point it out. I've never had a PvP build before so I'm most likely to need some guidance

Looks expensive Unless you're planning on high lvl PvP only, I'd swap SJ with a passive.

To be honest, I think you'd be better off going for Melee and Ranged +Defence from set bonuses if you're looking at a PvP /SR. You really don't need Hasten and a stack of +recharge unless you really like SuperSpeed (Spines isn't an all-melee set and can make do with just SJ) or if you're trying to get a near-perma-elude build (and you can get Elude-like defence from just set bonuses).

If I was building a Spines/SR I'd probably build for a mixture of offense and +perception in Sirens (since it's a fairly good "Stalker hunter" build) and +Defence in Warburg/RV. Something like the below build.

Very expensive, but you're at a constant 44.7% Ranged, 42.2% Melee and 39.1% AoE defense. +84% Recharge means even without Hasten, Elude downtime is less than 50% (Recharge 355.4 secs, Duration 180 secs).

Dodge and Quickness can be switched around if you'd rather have +Recharge than Melee Defence in Warburg, And if you're dead set on Superspeed, you can drop Leadership- Maneuvers only gives 3.58% Defence to all along with a +5% Recharge set bonus. The 3rd and 4th slots in Combat Jumping are effectively "spare" too.

Alternatively, you could drop Evasion, move the passives back to the late 40s and take either Barb Swipe (for ST damage) or Spine Burst (for AoE damage, which would allow you to still function well in PvE) at level 2.

Anyway, where do you plan on PvPing? what bonuses do you wonna go for, +rech for minimum elude downtime? +defence, health? Oh ye and remember, for WB PvP all IO's set IO's have to be lvl 41 or under in order to get the bonuses in the zone

As I said, I'm a new PvPer so what I want/need isnt that clear ...

I was told I need a lot of recharge for PvP as a spines/SR. Dont have a clue about anything else

Also, I'm not looking at a specific zone at the moment. A zone where a lot of PvP happens would be the best I think. RV looked nice when I was there once..

I've seen a few SR scrappers who drop evasion for going PvP, my guess is that they do PvP mostly in arena or stalker hunting. If you are stalker hunting, I don't think stalkers have much AoE dmg. If you go for the defense sets as Maelwys suggested, you can make a decent 20ish% AoE defense just with Lucky + set bonuses.

If the +perc figures of Tactics and Focused Acc are the same, perhaps Tactics could be more interesting than FA if you have good +acc bonuses from sets since tactics is far less end consuming than FA and Maneuvers always helps a bit on the defense side.
Kismet +6% acc would help and I also think you should check the serendipity set for your defense secondaries, it has really nice bonuses and it is not expensive.
Not sure if cone attacks count as AoE but for sure, they only accept AoE sets (most of them at least).

SJ is needed for pvp so ur not nerfed. even though ur sr and have great def still need movement, SJ has saved my [censored] so many times in wb it isnt funny.

i got evasion and its helped me a bit in pvp and its not really end heavy
if aranos told you he was probably think at it from a stalker point of view which gets 60%ish def to aoe from hide

Evasion isn't really needed as most people don't use AoE attacks in PvP, and if a blaster nukes, which i would say was one of the more common AoEs in WB (TG thinking about you ), he is bound to have used (PB)aim+BU and it will cut through evasion, and elude if thats running, like a hot knife through butter...

Ah, Warburg, home of the tier9s...

I can see that working against something like /FF (no -defence debuffs) or /Dark (heal requires a tohit roll), but if you're up against a competent /traps then you'd better take care even as a "MM Killer" Spines/SR!!

Bot/Traps MMs are pretty rare in PvP, even as Teleminers. Part of the reason why I rolled one. That and the fact that with &gt;45% Defence to everything the Bots almost never need to be resummoned even in EB/AV fights.

They certainly have their PvP weaknesses though: Confuse, TP-Foe and those Damn Fire/ Blasters...

Spines/SRs aren't really that much of a /Traps killer until after 41 when they can get "Focussed Accuracy". Even then it's not always a "sure thing", particularly when Elude Drops (though the autohit Poison Trap "Vomit" animation, Double-stacked Acid Mortar's -65% Def and Supremacy/Tactics can help a lot vs Elude...)
