I do not think transferring characters to any particular sever is the best way to do things. I do not think that the community should be left to save an element of the game that has limited participation. I do believe that the solution needs to be looked at, and implemented by the devs. I think the best solution lies in the fact that PvP Zones across all servers should be merged.

No this is totally wrong.Union will win because there is already established PvP action in EVERY single zone,the server has PvP events and this is on a daily basis.Unlike Defiant where PvP occurs from SC and downwards and if it exists its so scattered in occurance that is frustrating.
And thats a raw fact.1 week everyday logging in and SC would have either the funky (null) target for me or someone lowbie trying to do PvE in SC.

Of course, we are all entitled to our own opinions TG. You of all people should know that having fought the cause on numerous times in the past. Please, don't blast mine down based on your last weeks findings. You've barely been around on Defiant lately. Which brings me to my next point.
Over the past week alone, I have entered ALL of the pvp zones to find pvp going on. And we're not talking the odd duel either. Been in at different times of day and found lots of action occuring. More and more it seems, especially in RV since the heavies were castrated.
At the end of the day, all I am saying, is I won't be moving to get the PvP that I enjoy and participate in regularly. I have an SG that runs regular arena matches and zone raids, if that's all that ends up being left, that'll do for me. I don't need masses and masses of people taking part for it to me made fun. I think a lot of people underestimate the power of this aspect of the game and the pull it has. My concern is, less and less people making new toons on Defiant. Simply becuase they might like to pvp a bit later on, so pick Union as a just-in-case.

Union has all the roleplaying. Make Union the unofficial Roleplay server (it already is I guess).
Defiant has more PvP than you think (other day there was about 10 or so people in Warburg). Therefore, if Union is the RP server anyway, make Defiant the PvP server. And maybe (I doubt it would take much effort), on the server selection screen, Put Defiant [PvP Server], and Union [RP Server].
Tbh I love PvP, and I'm good at it. And after doing a test run over at Union, I will not be transfering anytime soon.

you want union to be the unofficial server and you cleary said that it has the most PvP. If this does occur you would see veteran PvPers moving their toons over (obviously no problem with that directly) to union. I doubt people who PvP once a say once month would want to change server and what if they had never been there? It means that they know a lot less people, and i think you'll find that this game is a lot more enjoyable when teaming with good friends. True, they could move their toons over too, but, what if they are just casual PvPers? Should we not think about casual PvPers as well as the veteran PvPers? This seems like a good idea for the US but for here, i say leave it 
If they implement Server Transfers soon I want it WoW style. High Pop to Low Pop, so Union to Defiant.
Imo having all the current PvPers on one server will be nice, but will end up detrimental to the pvp community long term in regards to new players joining and not checking the boards unless the server's tagged as a PvP server on the selection screen, which I doubt will ever happen.

Numbers don't matter. Percentages do.
For example loosing 600 from a 1300 player server to a 2500 player server is a big difference to the other way around.
Just like 6000 from a 13000 server to a 25000 server.

The thing I ment is. Right now all the server has close to 0 pvp. So a new player isn't getting any good pvp at all. So we might as well make one server the pvp server and then we'd atleast have some pvp there instead of keeping it spread which will keep the pvp very very low, and the new people won't get pvp anyways.

Is the 'Union has more PvP' situation just a side effect of the (it would seem from anecdotal comments) 'Union has more players' situation?
I only play on Union, I've never even made a toon on Defiant, so I can't speak from experience here, but I've seen lots of comments that Defiant has a lower number of active players on it. Is this the only reason for TG's differences in PvP activity?
It's been mentioned already that Union is the unofficial RP server. I'd always been under the impression that Defiant was already the unofficial PvP server, but I may well have been mistaken on that. But I guess one thing I'm querying is, do we really want Union to be the default 'Unofficial X' server? That's surely just going to become a positive feedback situation where Union will attract all the new players, because it will be the Unofficial server for their playstyle and Defiants population will lower as a result.
Surely we want to make some efforts to even out the playerbase...

While I wish we had two healthy English speaking servers, it's better we have one healthy and one struggling then two average. Ideally the situation would be solved by merging the PvP BG and Arenas WoW style, since I don't see it happening soon (Issue 12 anyone please?) I would rather have one unofficial PvP server where I can actually find some good action. Ideally for me this would be Union, mostly because I'm an RPer and a PvPer and I like to PvP with my RP characters, if Defiant became the PvP capital I would still move some characters there of course, just not my mains.

I have been very inactive for quite some time now because of defiants lack of PvP.
Its very hard for me to reroll and play on union while my main is on another server.....I know that sounds dumb but thats just the way my brain works.
So when server transfer comes I will be transfering Window Licker over to Union, and becoming much much more active....cant wait to start PvPing with you union boys again

All that said, I think the best option for increasing PvP populations remains making the PvP zones cross-server, and I think that'd be well worth the dev time to do. (Which would probably not work in the US, 'cause it'd put too many players in one zone! They'd have to put the servers into PvP groups for this.)
