Have the Fire Imps been nerf'd
Yep, they were beaten with the bat, here is the thread you missed....
Pick me, Pick me
Aye, they are one lvl lower then the caster now, making them more squishie then desired. They still do big damage, but on big teams they die fast -especially for domis without (de)buffing secondary
The nerf balanced things a bit. But I think it would be better if they have boosted imp's HP a bit or give them some resistance (specially against fire powers).
Anyway, Fire/Rad, Fire/Kin, Fire/Storm and Fire/TA are still very good combos IMHO.

Generally even if they are squished you've got the power recharged to resummon them. They are a bit of a glass cannon, not tough but massive damage. Really they're fairly well balanced with the other Controller pets now. For Doms its tougher alright, I suppose just treat them a little like Necros zombie horde and be prepared to resummon them a lot (1 accuracy, 2 recharge, 3 damage slotting or similar in set form).
They really should have Fire resistance though, it doesn't make sense that they don't.
As for what sets to go for with a Fire/Rad I'd say +Recovery, the more the merrier. So 2-slot sets like Thunderstrike, Miracle, Stupefy, Paralytic, and Tempered Readiness for the Recovery bonus.
For AOE Immobs I reckon Damage PROCS are a decent investment too , although Fire/Rad does tons of damage already so maybe you don't need it too much.

Fire/TA has some serious weaknesses. No tohit debuffs, heals or defence buffs to keep imps alive. Imps run from oilslick arrow, or freeze.
The second factor if fixed would make it a great combo, without the second factor working Fire/Ta's imps are squishies and make a good power situational

Oh yes. Fire/Kin especially. So overpowered compared with other controllers.

They're as thick as a plank as well. They go dashing off at the faintest whiff of a new fight leaving you stranded with a badly singed and very angry mob...
Hi all
My mate has a Fire / Rad controller LvL 50 Mad Mac. He has dusted him out of the cupboard but we have both noticed how weak his imps are now. I know they have never been Tanker strength but they could a least take some damage before and as long as u healed them every now and then they were a nice little force to help the controller out. Yet doing Infernal one smack of his axe and they were gone dead burried next ! and fighting the Malta GM a couple of footstomps from him and they again were dead gone burried next! have they been nerfed ?
If anyone can give him some ideas on how to get them back to having a bit of force behind them again that would be great. Also if someone could tell him what sets to go for as a fire / rad would be great as he is totaly confused with this new enhancement system.
Thanks all
