Just popped by to clear a matter up somebody bought to my attention, you will need to enter 3 different toons, not 3 different version of the same toon, 3 seperate toons.
The rules dont make this clear, but as has been mentioned they havent been finalised yet so thought I'd clarify this.

I dunno like. I've fought a few psy/rads and have won something like 5-0 and 5-2. Trying to remember the names...one started with psy something (no surprise there really).

just out of curiousity how will the use of insp work in this? although i doubt id enter as none of my 50s have any real solo potential.. just intrigued how you are gonner work around that as insp's can often throw a duel in one players favour Break Free's against a controller/dominator for example...

Before anyone else gives a nasty response: the insp use is obviously nonrestricted. As with all proper arena fights.
Are tier 3 and SoW insps ok?

I cant see any reason why not, but as I've mentioned all rules are still up for discusion so if anybody can think of a reason not to allow them, and a reliable way to prevent thier use speak up now.

OK, i plan to set up a single player pvp tourney to take place this summer, to allow people to show off their uber skillz in solo pvp.
Now, inherently, solo pvp has always had one fatal flaw: Too many fotm builds having too much of an advantage over other builds. Now to help address this, this is what I plan:
1) To enter players must have at least 3 level 44+ toons, heroes or villains.
2) When a match is allocated, each player must face off and roll a dice. The player receiving the highest dice roll gets to choose which AT they would like to start with SECOND.
3) The two players then fight, and the LOSING player then gets to choose there next toon SECOND. etc etc. Drawn matches mean the person who LOST the first dice roll gets to choose second the next match.
4) The first player to win THREE separate bouts is then deemed the winner.
For example.
Player 1: Andy_75
Toons entered: Purple Hazel (ill/rad), Nimmer (Elec/EN), Black Knight (BS/Reg)
Player 2: Knight Stalker
Toons entered: Subconcious (mind/storm), Knight Stalker (Sp/reg), Critical shock (elec/elec)
We roll the dice, and I win.
Knight stalker then has to choose first. He takes in Knight Stalker. As I won the roll, i now have the advantage, as i choose second, and I choose Purple Hazel.
The 10 MINUTE match is then played. After winning 76-0, I then have to remain on with the same toon. Knight stalker then gets to choose who he would like to face me with next. He chooses critical shock.
After a close battle, critical shock pips me at the post winning 2-1. So next match I get to choose etc.
Now details are only in the planning stages at the moment. I would like some SENSIBLE, CONSTRUCTIVE feedback if possible. Suggestions will be listened to!
Some points to consider:
- Should you be able to enter more than three toons, then the week before your match you must have posted which three you will play ( this would work by each player posting me their entries and me simultaneouly posting the match up on here: IMO this could be a fun and tactical way of doing it..)
- Should matches be played at 44? I believe so. Why? To negate hamio-s. Eeek! Why! Well this is about single player skill, not who can copy over to test and duplicate HO's. If this was to take place on live i would say allow hamis, but not sure about test - opinins please.
3) I would love this to be an international event. Could someone please translate this possibly and get some French/German feedback? thanks.
4) Is this format viable? is first to three too long?
5) Ideally i would love this to run as a league system, but i fear that may take far too long. A simple knockout may have to be the format.
Lots to consider. Any constructive feedback welcome.

ROTFL! He might if all 8 tanks stay on different parts of the map far away...
A tank shouldn't die vs a stalker on a 1v1, it's bound to be a 0-0 draw unless one of them commits a big mistake or has a not optimised pvp build
