just out of curiousity how will the use of insp work in this? although i doubt id enter as none of my 50s have any real solo potential.. just intrigued how you are gonner work around that as insp's can often throw a duel in one players favour Break Free's against a controller/dominator for example...

oooo RV Avs im up for this on both Mistress Heal and Stone Lady (Mistress needs all/Stone needs all but scorpy), would rather do it with MH first though as shes kinda my badge toon

"First of all, you have to remember there is a difference between the two aliens. Although from the same planet (I think), they are dark and light, sun and shadow. In other words, the complete opposite. Add to that the difference between a human form PB and a tri-form WS, and it's an entirely different case. Then, add up the two playstyles...

All in all, the WS is a killing machine and the PB is the bounty hunter. A tri-form WS doesn't need to slot any attacks or shields, and barely even mez protections. All he needs is a powerful enough 85% resistance to all including psionic. This is easily gained using the Mire (+acc) and the dwarf Mire (additional +acc), which is enough to get Eclipse (+11.25% resistance per application) to max. Eventually, the nova form is brilliant for killing off enemies and dwarf for the hot period once ecplise runs out (if i recall, almsot perma using hasten), or just to BASH enemies out of the way, even covering the tanker. You don't really need all the slots to be put into the human attacks, res shields and mez attakcs. Then remember, that due to ED, non of the powers can be 6 slotted (hasten, eclipse, quasar, a lot of attacks), and you get a bunch of powers you really don't need if they aren't slotted fully, and leftovers.

The PB, however, is a different situation. My human form PB (50) had a big slotting issue. Due to not being able to do the things a WS can do (well, not as good as...), he needs to focus on the melee attacks, ranges attacks, shields and other stuff. A tri-form might not have that problem, but there are still some issues with good powers (IS) which will lose their value. Also, a bright nova won't get the support of double mire and ecplise to back it up, and neither would dwarf, so a player will eventually heavly slot the forms (otherwise, why pick them at all?). Even without the forms, there are shields, powers, and a lot of good (GOOD) human powers, then add power pools.

Eventually, the WS got a lot of powers which benefits, above everything, his EXP/Sec ratio , and the PB has lots of supporting powers and heals, and to be effective, he needs to have his powers picked out right, then slot them. While a WS has the double mire, stygian and ecplise (4 powers, excluding dwarf and nova), the PB has 4 shields (one passive), 3 heals(one with dwarf), and light form, and those can add up to 9 powers, plus stamina to hold it (so that makes it 12).

So there you have it, my 2 cents.

tbh ive got to the point where i am ignoring anything about when the release of i8 is and simply just gonner accept that it coems out when it comes out hopefully next week but if it doesnt it doesnt...

hmmmm i dont recall that when i tried it unsuccessfully with MH... well if its bugged then thats yet another thing that can be added to the list of bugged things... so basically i need to be in a team of mostly people in the lvl range and to be exemped by one of them? which is what it used to be for everything before they released the auto exemp system.. *hugs devs*

okay i dont kknow much about the lvl ranges or how to really do it as ive only tried it once and the team failed how ever... I REALLY WANT TO TRY THE SEWERS TRIAL ON MH!!!!

although i am not a big fan of publci raids purely becuase you get loads of people turning up that dont know the plan, havent read up on the forums etc.. becuase of that you also get loads of zone lag because of the numbers there anyway thought id volunteer anyways

so MH is signing up lvl 50 empath/psi/psi with single hold (Dominate) and experience being in tanking team...so if you need another empath just let me know although it looks like the from the response you have got so far i would say your getting close to hitting the zone limit.. before it becoms a lag infested hami

my advice on the empathy set get the powers when they are available, absorb pain isnt "essential" but its another heal (and a damm gd one), recall friend and hasten are "useful" powers but again not "essential" focus on your primary powers the heals and the buffs are what make an empath the rest just add to it

id hate to think that there was a rift between RPers and PvPers and quite frankly i doubt that there is. Simply just a very small bunch that dont like RPers (i have come accross some bitchiness directed at RPers, comments that have often made me wonder why they play MMORPG) and sadly get put under the PvP bracket, but then it works the other way there are players out there that cant stand PvP and dislike certain players that take part in it, are these players Rpers maybe? mabye not? but to say RPers and PvPers dont get along or theres a "rift" is kinda jumping the gun after all you can do both quite easily... as some have already said so in this thread. so yeah as someone has alreayd mentioned if players are giving you grief simply /ignore

Edit: i have jsut had this thought this is a RPG thus surely that makes us all Rolepalyers in some way we may not consider ourselfs RPers but still we are playing a roleplaying game

lol well what i said on my previous thread still stands i do genuinely think they should bring more into pocket D much more than just ahving arena consoles there... and with regard to the "joke" theres an old saying dont throw bricks into glass houses (which i am by no means saying nastiness is acceptable because it isnt!!! *hug stasis*) anyway nice joke and i agree there wasnt any actual thread or announcement made so i guess i just picked up on what was being said in arena and elsewhere... its a bit like chinese wispers... it gets moved around so much that it looes all of its original meaning..

i think i can safely say that considering the size of the community of Heroes/villains this has been done for a very small Minority of people. why do rper need to disrupt a PvP zone? when there already is a Neutral zone in the form of Pocket D what makes Pocket D so differnt from SC? if the devs want to do soemthing for Rpers then do something that will benefit all not jsut the minority by bringing back the co-op missions that we had in Pocket D on Valentines Day (ofc there is still the snaptooth missions but thats only available if you did enough missions on the day) i for one am for it a place where Rpers and Non Rpers can team up regardless of heroe/villain and do missions/chat and at the same time not spoil the fun and enjoyment of prob one of the most popular and busiest PvP zones in the game. for the record i am not a big fan of pvp but i do enjoy it now and again likewise with RP although i have never gone to any RP event.
