By the by, the only other primary that would work particularly well (if you have the invention focus in mind) would be Sonic. It's got multiple stuns that'll be able to stack with Seeker Drones, if you're so inclined to boost those bonuses. It also has a sleep power that, if you slot with Induced Coma, stacks really well with all the Trap sets I mentioned. Motormouth has some inventing to do I think.

[/ QUOTE ]

Stun's be nice. Plus there's screetch as well. Not sure about the sleep power though.

I don't know. The sleep power might be a nice alternative when it comes time to set up traps like crazy. I'd imagine putting a mob to sleep then setting up everything fairly close to them. Then again, with Sonic's natural debuff....it might not be worth the effort.

By the by, I've leveled my Ice/Traps toon a bit more and I've decided to put him back on the shelf for a while. I enjoy my Rad/Traps character too much and, since I'm trying to limit the amount of toons I play regularly, it would be goofy of me to make a new one just to capitalize on the crazy SLOW IO's you could slot in the build. I like the toon a lot and will most likely bring him to one of the Trapper nights sometime down the road, but I figure if I'm going to start building up a new toon it'll have to one with completely different powers. To me the joy of new stuff outweighs the joy of the super slow movement build of death.
-jared

Edit: I still have faith in the build, and if anyone else on the Trapper squad wants to do it, I've got a small stack of SLOW IO's (low to midlevel) in my character Kaijukore's inventory. I was planning on giving them to my Ice/Traps character, but now....if any of you guys are serious about trying it out, they're yours for the taking. Just let me know.

Problem is, sleep stops when you take damage. It might be useful for sleeping a whole group then planting a nice big time bomb on them though
Could also be handy for sleeping mobs at the edge of the battle where they are less likely to take damage.

Soloing, the sleep can be very useful - put them to sleep and plant your poison trap.

In our team it's maybe good for putting an ambush to sleep or something, but the amount of AoE's we have will render it useless most of the time.

Well I met OhGoDTheRats today and he told me to swing by this way due to all the nice trappers organising teams and not insulting assault riflers and stuff

Hello there!

Yeah we have 3 regular AR Trappers at the moment, all salivating over the potential of the triple-Ignite combo ((or was that just me?).

No no no.

What you're drooling over is the combination of multiple web grenades and Ignite, surely?

But then I was Spoiled a little by Mr. Stompy throwing out regular supplies of dozens of burn patches. Got to Love Incendiary Swarm Missiles when combined with an AoE Immobilise

Well anything that is bright, flashy and burns is fine by me.

Incidently can anyone tell me how to get Web grenades to work against bosses, or is it completely hit and miss whether they work or not?

2 applications should immobilize most bosses.

Sorry for not telling you guys, but Im on vacation right now, and will be for 5 more weeks
Then I'll have quite a bit of catching up to do

Web Grenades, like most, if not all single target immobilise powers are mag 3. To get a boss in one shot you need a Mag 4 Immob.

So generally, you either need to be a controller who gets a critical control on their immob, or you need to be a Dominator with Domination up.

Nowadays on my /Traps MM, I use Web Envelope and Web Grenade on the boss, then let my pets unload their excess ammo at the spawn. (but that's not a viable option before level 41 )

Council Warwolves are very immobilise resistant though, and it can take 3 grenades to stop a lieut running around, let alone a boss.

All troller/domi primary ST immobilizes are standard mag 4. No need for domination nor a crit. Bosses are immobed in one hit. Always. them big bad wolfies have high mag immob resistance indeed and need 2 applications. (with domi up just one

By the by (and I hope to bring me and Private Dancer to the party next week), have we thought about doing a SF or PVP one night for a change of pace? Think it would be hilarious to be the trap-wielding army doing the patrol sweep in Sirens, bounties aside.

Edit:
OH and hey Kaeze! Guess there is something good about waking up at 4 AM and deciding CoV is better than sleep. Welcome to the party.
And Echo: While we do have 3 AR/Trappers in the team, I need to point out that most of the masterminds involved are also wielding rifles, equiped with grenades and what-not. Team T.N.T. is starting to look like an NRA meeting.

We did the CaD SF not long ago and it went very smoothly.

We've been talking about PvPing too. I'd like to have a go for a change. Plus we need to get Shivans at one point too.

Very cool. I took Open Sore to sirens the other day for the first time. I've decided I need to get CoH now if only to find out what blasters use to kill me in two shots. Pvp didn't go badly...there were some great charges directly into poison trap. But yeah. The hell is a Blaster and why does it own me something fierce?

An AT for easy pvp mode, although you could say that about most of the hero AT's. Could have been a better trip if the sides were more balanced but it was either 3 villains vs 1 troller or 3 villians vs 1 troller plus a blaster/emp duo (in between there missions). Thems the breaks I suppose.

I tend to stay away from blasters in pvp... and trollers and scrappers and tankers and... oh well I spend most of my time running away.
Hard to crank out traps when people are shooting at you.

Very enjoyable night again

GV now has used a veterans respec (oh noes!) and builds primary focused, dropped Assault for Swift and some IO's slotted.

Looking forward to next week!

I'd like to propose we try the respec trial in two weeks time, for something a bit different. The way our team performed this week, I think we should be able to handle it.

If you're up for that, then next week we'll visit BB for Shivan pets in case we need them for the trial - and partake in a little PvP too. We could also re-do the BME (Best Mission Ever) for any folks who didn't make it this week.

Sounds like a plan. I might not make it next week due to double xp burn out (which I was introduced to a few weeks back). On the other hand, I'm thinking I may want to focus on my Ice/Traps guy...the lower levels should fly buy with a little help and dedication.

You know, because while I hate focusing on YET ANOTHER character, I really think that Ice Storm would just jive with the all-traps assault perfectly.
Stupid temptation.

Either way, I'll definitely be up for the Respec Trial. That thing owned me the last time (and first) I tried it...I'm looking for a little payback in the form of TNT.
