Hey Swilly

Thanks for that - I doubt that we will get 2nd by the end of the weekend but hoping to pass you lot before i11 comes out and any of you return to check it out!

You are always a welcome addition to any of our teams - we are planning LRSF on sunday starting at 19.00bst (4th November) so if you are about join in.

I am sure that you will see a resurgence not giving up on the Horde just yet, would be great to see ya back up and active (after we have passed you in the rankings obviously )

Good to see you still doing really good. I need to speak to a few leaders at some stage (various topics) so I catch you in game some time.

A big congrats to all for completing the LRSF again with an all handprints team. Made that my 3rd successful run out of 3.

Lots going on with the handies at the moment, so people should be on the look out for us in our green and gold cozzies!

Yeah Von has us working real hard now...

Yep just an update to let everyone know out there that we are still having lots of fun in the Dirtes.

There is an event planned nearly every day and we are hanging on to 2nd in the ranks - just. Paragon Protectors are clipping at our heels but so far so good.

We also still have a few places going so any members out there that come accross people looking for an SG please feel free to invite them or if you are reading this then get in touch with a Dirty Hand Print - @Von, @Fire Emperor, @Enkil

Time for a further update

We have now got a fully functioning forum so come and pay us a visit!

Much easier to see all the things that we have planned, didn't quite realise myself that we were going to be so busy!

Also stay tuned for the results of the GREAT LADY GREY RACE! It is happening this Sunday, 2 teams head to head - there can be only one!

To get to the forum use the usual web address - www.thehandprints.wordpress.com

CONGRATUALTIONS TO ALL HANDPRINTS!!!!

THE CLEAN AND THE DIRTIES ARE NOW BOTH TOP 10 RANKED SG'S ON UNION!!!

This is a fantastic achievement with the Dirties being 18 months old and the Cleans still yet to celebrate their 1st anniversary.

Considering that we have many people that play in both sg's to keep our momentum on both sides is a true reflection to the level of activity from all our Handprints

And it doesn't show any signs of letting up with a second superteam project kicking off next week while the other one is still going strong, regular LRSF, the interactive forum leading to events being suggested, planned and executed using full SG teams, fortnight fights in the arena between heroes and villains and on and on....

With membership levels bursting at the seams we are stronger than ever!!!

Hi there

Thought that an update was in order!

We are still running well and as active as ever, lots going on with the original superteam still going on a Wednesday, and now an all fire/rad corrupter team running on Tuesdays.

We have a few spaces for any obsessive homeless villains out there so if you fancy joining us just drop a tell to @Von or visit www.thehandprints.wordpress.com and follow the link to the forum where there is a thread for signing up.

Lots of events coming up - we have the 2nd lady grey race this saturday where a team of clean handprints will be racing a team of dirties so that should be fun.

Very Disappointed with this VG. Logged in this morning (after a 24 day break), to find that I had been kicked from the group. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that you had to login within 21 days (so 3 days not that much of a crime). I get kicked after 3 days lapse, when I have seen others that hadn't logged in for 30 days+. Obviously I'm not valued as a member, even though I've always played in SG mode.

A word of warning to all those new recruits that have just joined, or are thinking of joining.... If you are not going to play very regularly on a specific character, then my advice would be DON'T JOIN, as the prestige you would have earnt for them, will not be repaid with loyalty.

I'm sorry that I have 26 characters, as obviously I can't play them all at once. Anyway good luck to all you Handprints, that are enjoying your experience! But remember... you could be the next for the chop!!

I'm sorry you feel that way Claws, but if you take a look at our forum, we do have a set of rules posted up, and the time limit is 14 days now. The people who are past this time are those that have let us know they will be away from the game for an extended period of time, and asked if we can keep their slot.

With space very tight in the SG atm, spaces are being created only to be filled out straight away. The SG rules are up there for all to see, and we encourage our members to do there best to follow them, allowances are made when we are informed of an absence.

So im sorry if you did let us know you would be away from the game and u were kicked anyways, but the rules are there to keep the SG as active as possible. The rules can be tough on some players that have multiple alts.

So I hope you find a SG that better suits your play time, and isnt quite as stringent as we are.

I on the other hand am not going to make any apologies for the way that the group is run, maybe as Mime had said you had let us know if you were going to be away and you had been kicked I would be apologising right now.

The rules changed at the beginning of May in readiness to I12 and the onslaught of new VEATs/toons. The topic of what to do to make space for these was widely discussed by all SG members on our forum the decision made based on collective opinions.

Following these descisions a bulk email was sent by myself to all persons registered onto the forum (which i believe that you are) as well as the MOTD in the global chat channel announcing that there were new rules from the start of May (I believe the new rules were posted onto the forum on April 17th)

So in short plenty of notice was given thro various mediums and tbh what is the point of having these guidelines if we are not going to stick by them?

The guidelines were there to make space for i12 and also lowering the inactive time means that for members who do commit to the SG, joining in the events that are run and so on it means that there is more likelihood of them logging on and there being more than 3 people on which also means it is easier to decide on the spur of the moment lets run a SF and getting an 8 man team. Something us handprints take great pride in being able to do.

The only part of upsetting you i am sorry about is that you felt the need to do this on the EU forum rather than speaking to someone about it - as I say the SG obviously wasn't for you.

Yup, gotta agree with Von there.

I've only recently joined the SG and I knew about the new rules. I got the e-mail (as did my wife, Rose) I saw the posts on the forums and in game on the handies channel MOTD. They've been there since mid april, well before you took your break so it's not unfair at all what happened.

All seems perfectly clear and simple to me

I was a bit miffed this morning, hence why I did it publicly. I should have sent a PM instead, so I apologise for that. But I didn't sign upto the forum (or if I did, I can't remember it), hence why I didn't get the mail concerning upcoming changes, and I haven't looked at the site for a while, so the problem was more at my end of which I agree. I did however think it was 21 days, so I did try and make sure that I logged in before this time, to avoid being kicked, which has ultimately happened.

It's probably better for us all that I no longer reside here, as I can't give you the dedication you need. No hard feelings though, as I hope you all prosper in whatever you do. Thanks for trying to appease me Mime, but Von's right (as hard as it is for me to say that).....

Would I be right in saying that, you could think you have friends in the VG, you could of for a couple of years contributed millions of prestige across toons but because you've gone over 21 days, some random newbie whose never contributed gets the benefits (i dunno what they are) of the VG in your place?

5 alts in one SG or VG in prestige mode till 25 should make for a very nice 'apartment' where ya can store anything ya like, then when ya fancy the benefits of a large SG or VG take an alt and ask for an invite.

The apartment is somit ya can always call ya own.

We have lots of long standing members and a very active forum so the long standing members tend to post to here to let us know if they are gonna have probs etc in this case we do not kick.

We are a hugely active SG and as such need the maximum amount of players on at one time - if someone is looking for a home for one toon that they are gonna play 1-2 times a month then we are not the group for them and to be honest have never pretended to be.

We are always looking for ways to get the maximum amount of players on at the same time as I believe this makes for a better gaming experience for all as it makes teams and events easier to find.

With the increasing comments on the forums about people not being able to find decent PUG's I feel that it is one of the main roles of an SG to ensure that people can always find something going on that they can join in on and also for people to be able to get a team together at short notice for something they fancy doing.

The Handprints are not just there to offer a home to a toon we are there to offer productive gaming time to players.

As an example we regularly run the same tf/sf twice in a day if there are people that want to do it and have run many tf/sf races where events have been oversubscribed enough for 2 or even 3 teams.

Earning a SG prestige is an important by-product that members can give back to the SG however the hard work that leaders and so forth put into keeping an sg happy and active combined with enhancements, inspirations, recipes , salvage for empowerments, tp's, med bay's, auto docs and so forth make it a fair exchange in my opinion

i dont often get involved in other sg's management and goings on apart from joint events and the likes but this time i thought it might help a little to explane the dirtys arent the only sg that have a kick deadline infact i think most if not all our groups in the coalition have the some sort of inactive kick dealine, with dark lorsd its 30 days.

im not saying this is the fairest way to run an sg for the members that cant put the time in as much as they would like but unfortunitly sg leaders are there to look after the sg as a hole and how all the members benifit from it, and trust me kicking a long term member for in activity isnt an easy desition to make its one ive had to do myself more than a few times over the years, all i do is drop that toon an ingame email explaning why they were kicked as well as my global so they can always return in the future. in the same breath i make a point of lettin new and old members know that if they are gona be inactive just to drop me an ingame email as a reminder so i got that there in my box and know not to kick them however altho dark lords has always been a popular and active group we have always had space so not had to be so strick on space the same way some of the top handful of groups have.

all i can say to anybody looking for an sg is bare in mind how you play and what you wont from the game when your looking for an sg or vg and dont be afrade to ask a recruter of the group questions if they cant aswer think twice about joining and most importantly an honest sg member should and more often will tell you if there group is the place for you or not something i have dun a few times refering a few people to other groups like the dirtys and evil to name a few for different reasons depending on what the person is after.

i know being removed from a group without worning is a touchy subject but i hope this has helped clear things up a lil coming from somebody with nothing to do dirtys apart from the odd rant on coalition every now and again,.. oh and claws if its a home your after for your toons gimi a shout not that im trying to take advantage of the situation or anything honest im not

Good. I thought it important after all that for you to highlight what you do however any longstanding member could say end up in hospital for 6 months, its nice to have some insurance of a return to a normality. I'd hope someone like Nine Claws can still make it into teams as some kind of honorary member.

sg leaders are there to look after the sg as a whole

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, although, I do prefer SG ldrs to do roles that suit them, lets say one likes to PvP, the PvP events are their domain, one likes to RP, then they look after the RPers - horses for courses but has anyone noticed how some SG ldrs are disappearing acts? The RP type is then expected to farm and PvP. After a few months that SG ldr who disappeared expects to come back to their roles? I'd knock that on the head.
