Yes, it was good last night, we achieved alot in our three leves. Established the back story, kicked off the quest story arc, formed the SG and built a base. Not bad at all.
I'll post my bio and a little piece about the first meeting as soon as I can.
As for the basebuilding, myself excepted as I'm not really interested, I'm keen that everyone who wants to build and edit gets the chance.
Hope people liked the star symbol and orange and gold colours. Maybe at lvl 20 we could desgin an SG outfit, modelled on Hyperion Star's outfit perhaps, we would look quite striking. 
I was wondering if we should start a Hyperion Watchmen thread to replace this?
Finally, to anyone casually reading this thread, although we have started we are in no way closed to new recruits. Come join us

so, when we don't met up, are we free to level up casually? or only during the meets?

To stay true to the original post that got everyone's attention we should stick to playing the characters together whenever possible. That's certainly what I would favour, as I'm more keen on the character relationships and developing our own story than leveling.
What do others think?

It might be an idea to lvl up outside meets when you're tagging behind for some reason.
Say like... you're lvl 5 and they're lvl 7 or so...
You could then choose to take the weaker position in the team (should allows for interesting RP, right?) or you could lvl up to keep the lvls more equal.

that was Johnny he said that the good doctor was a good start, as he may have medical records or cadavers that may have been from the incidents. then he went about desiging a machine to inject the cure into the bodies of the affected

good idea, Ghost. It'll make it easier that way
Levelling outside of RP to catch up from missed outings should, I think, be allowed unless you want to RP a slower development of powers, but I'm not too keen on someone jumping ahead in between the group sessions. My idea was about building a group of people rather than a grind.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to pull any 'this was my idea' cr@p, I very much want this to be a team effort in every sense and group decisions to rule (in fact my character Psyte is very unsure about his role in the group and is definitely no leader) so am just giving my opinion.
Well, I think we should limit levelling to just team meets, but should be free to log on for badge hunting, but only so long as it would result in no/negligable xp.
And later on, when we get more powerful, perhaps it would be possable to log on during a Sunday, say, and do the odd task force? I can see it being able to be spun into the storyline, or even as a side thing as our heroes get regognised by the Freedom Phalanx
I've set up a chat channel called Hyperion Hotline. I thought it would be a good way to stay in touch and organise things in game.

Sorry, wasn't intending to level - just the little badge hunt for the Galaxy City Beacon Badge for the SG tipped me over the edge! I agree that we should be trying to level at the same rate wherever possible.

Oh, I've added 7 cabinets to the base. Reasoning being this: as a short amount of time has passed since their last meeting, Moonfrost has been to the Icon store in Steel Canyon to have new costumes created. This is basically an excuse to run around in SG colours 8D
Today seemed somewhat shorter than last time, but I could be wrong. Anyway, I hope everyone liked Miss DeSusa. I thaught it would be an idea to hold a quick poll to see who should be the full-timer, and who should be a part-timer. The choices are:
Moonfrost - Archery/Frost blaster
High Burn - Radiation/Radiation defender
I've already got 2 votes for "Burnie", and stories in mind for both depending on which way it all goes.

Last night did seem a bit shorter than before, but fun none the less - was quite interesting trying to develop a larger than life ego/persona to go with my toon as I'm usually ultra polite and quiet on team chat! Hope that's not too jarring for anyone?! 
I asked a guy to join us tomorrow and he said yes. He hasn't made a toon yet though and needs the story explaning.
He's also never done RP before and is new to the game, so be nice
