The Paragon Defenders rent goes from 220k to 65k!
Everybody should benefit from this (my first rough estimation was that prestige should grow between 2 and 3 times faster than before, but Extremus figures make me already too pessimistic).
RPers with a large decorative base should benefit less than others with small crammed-to-the-roof bases, but, well, we'll have to see how this will go. There will still be a roof, but it will show in a different manner. I'm going to make some maths and try to oversee how this goes.

I think it will be RPers that have the smal crammed-to-the-roof bases... I have a fully functional base, which had loads of space before I crammed it with RP decorations

It's brilliant news for my 3 person SG, no more rent as we have the smallest plot still. This means we can save for upgrading the equipment without seeing what little prestige we do earn trickle out in rent.

This si the perfect shot in the arm for all SGs - rent was the one outstanding problem with bases that affected everyone - it's so cool that they've made it base don size alone now

And if the SG has trouble with dwindling memberships, they can downgrade plot to get less rent.
This is indeed great news. Yesterday I seemed to owe loads of rent. Can I expect it to be reduced once I've logged on today?

Exactly - it means a big SGs fallen on hard times won't face oblivion anymore - and it also means small SGs that want to stay small aren't forced to devote more and more playtime to farming Prestiege just to survive.

Wonder what currently happens if your rent is due and this patch goes live.
For example our base rent is now due and is 76k, under the new rent scheme it would only be 20k.
I wonder if it will ammend the amount owed, I realy hope it does as they have scamed us enough already.

You will propably need to pay the old amount and only in next rent payment is the new method used to calculate it.
to be honest im not to bothered how its iimplimented im just happy its finaly coming runniong to sg in the top 20 earning states its the one thing i been worring about is them reaching a point where they just cant earn enuff to pay the rent thus basicly killing the group atleast now i know the will go one just need a lil effert untill the patch gos live

On Test in the US, all prestige owed was still owed, and the new rent system only started from the day it was activated. So pay up boys and girls!

Yeah, but if I pay now, and the patch doesn't go live for a while, I may be asked to pay rent again - so it's better to just not pay until the patch is live.
